… but as one of the admins here on CGTalk, I thought I’d say hi anyway
For those of you who don’t know me, I’m a 3D artist working in California. Been a forum leader here on CGTalk for a couple of years and I tend to post quite a lot

Who are you and where did you steal that post count?:surprised
Seriously, anyone who has been here for more than a month has no excuse not to know who you are, but it’s always nice to know how things are going.
only 11,400 more post to go
Hey Leigh, good to see ya!
Did the CG society image shrink in the wash?
Leigh I had to be honest… your avatar…
your face was so more nice to see around messages here in CGtalk
however… Hello Leigh !, from South Africa to California… hey what big change…
have a nice day
jdd
Erilaz, there’s someone with pink hair knocking on the door of our exclusive club, where we loll around on clouds and hob-nob. Please remove her…

Poppy in tha house BOOYAH !!!
hehe I think I can sort of safely say I’m one of a few people who have a nickname for her that she actually knows what it’s about
Hmm… rings a bell. Didnt you once have an avatar that looked like it was made with MS Paint?

hey leigh… i’ve posted just as much as you… when i used to do the newspaper run… posted plenty of times LoL… nice to meet yah! havnt seen you before!
eheeem
Heh, I really liked the jeroentje avatar for sure.
Never occurred to me that the current one was a cutout of a photo! Especially after all the posts and discussions in threads on skin surface shading, it totally looks like a test of a surface w/tattoo on a 3d sphere…sheesh
That’s what I thought it was too!
Leigh was clever… she can put that in her portfolio and call it a rendered sphere…
Hey guys, thanks for all the greetings
Yves - Poppy lives on!
As for the avatar thing, yeah this is a tattoo I have on the inside of my one wrist. The spherical shape does kinda make it look like a render… I should change that, heh. It’s the Elvish word for “twin” and my twin sister and I both had it done on our wrists, so it’s very special for me (well, all my ink is, but this one particularly).
SDIT - yeah, eventually. I’ve been really busy over the last couple of months, and LA is also quite a long drive, especially in the afternoons with all the traffic.
I only head down there for VERY worthwhile events
