Today I ordered the book “Eon” and started reading the online info. I liked the idea of arches like golf tees and buildings hanging from cables…lanterns?
I won a WACOM tablet as a WACM sponsorship prize at a conference and here is my first attempt at using it…as you can see I need a lot of practice…but have sketched some ideas and possible angles.

Here the Stone architects had allowed themselves complete freedom. Treating the chamber as a giant valley, they had strung cables from cap to cap and hung buildings from them in graceful curves.

I took an image I had created in Terragen and played with it in Photoshop. Still trying out ideas. Wonder how the buidings were connected to the cables???

Thought I would try making the arch and cable using 3ds Max so I can apply metal textures and play with angles.
