Environment with dinosaur, struggle with characters, wip.

Hi, I’m new here so I want to say hello :slight_smile: This is my first digital concept, and I want to know if everything is okay with composition and lightning. I’m going to overpaint guys in pants, to some indian lookout. Monster and guy one the right are folcal points. Thank you in advance for your help.

The lighting out in the clearing looks vague. Is it an overcast sky with very diffused lighting, or is it direct sunlight? Right now it’s very flat so there’s no real indication of where the light source (the sun) is, and even for an overcast sky, it’s still too flat and has no sense of volume in the forms.

Compositionally this is pretty good. The way the two figures on the left are kind of lined up towards the vanishing point can be changed though, so the placement looks more natural. Also, the further figure in the clearing seems to be placed too close according to the perspective, distorting the sense of scale.
