A scene from Venice…

And later that night…

I love it! Texturing wise is almost perfect.
A couple of things i noticed: The front left wall doesn’t separate very well with the back wall, i don’t know what could be done about this… Maybe make the corner more round? It looks pretty sharp right now. Second is the lighting in the night scene. Its a bit too bright for my taste, like the sun is still up in the sky. You could dim the ambient lighting much more to give more contrast on the local omni lighting. It would make it more interesting i think. Keep up the good work! ![]()
Thanks for the reply… glad you liked it
I see what you mean about the near wall, It’s the camera angle basically, I’ll see if I can change it a little so it’s a little better.
As for the comments on the lighting at night, I started with a darker scene, but didn’t like the look of it as much as this… it just looked to dark hehe that’s why I went with the brighter blueish look.
nice, but the left wall needs some fixing to separate it more from the right house. at the moment it needs a second view to recognize the buildings doesn´t touch each other
Yeah the angle makes it look that way, but I’ve tried different angles and it looks the same, I actually didn’t even notice it until Dennik pointed it out
And Moogoo, I modeled and rendered this from an actual photograph which was taken during the day and YES the lights were on… if you’d like to see it just let me know.
The angle is also very similar to the photograph, and indeed the buildings look like they intersect there as well if you focus on it
