I like the style/ideas, but i think a few things are a bit too soft.

I think it would be cooler if it were darker or sinister, but the target audience is children and I think its a breathtaking piece
I really love your work.
It’s very inspiring and very very nice to look at.
Hey everyone!
Rafalon, marque_pierre, loocas, inframicrobe: Thanks guys!
miguel: Glad to hear you and your wife enjoy the work! Oh…you didn’t know…these are real places…ha ah…just kidding:)It would be fun if we could make real what we imagine beyond just a painting though…I’ll work on that…
zrm: Will do…I have quite a few of my “darker works” that fall into the Otherworlds book project that I haven’t posted yet.
Sherif.Nagib: It’s really all color theory…these are definitely challenging but, once you nail your understanding of color you can do quite a bit with it.
roja88: I have to be optimistic since there is a hurricane heading my way as I write this:)
Shaggy: glad to hear it inspires you to make some new art…go for it and let me see it when you’re done.
1541: Glad you like the idea…perhaps a few things are too soft:)
LorenRachelle: Thanks …yes children’s content wouldn’t be a good place for dark and sinister, besides I do a ton of that stuff and this is a nice change from time to time.
HorrorShow, Spc: Thanks
Best,
Phil
Ohmigod! I absolutely love this! Very magical, alluring and indeed enchanting. Great work! :o)
that curly grass is so cool cause it makes for an excellent bed,
it doesn’t bend , it just curls more under your weight and gently
lowers you closer to the ground, still leaving you slightly above it
and then the forest wind moves u back and forth gently, lulls u
into sleep… ahhh
i liked the second and third pics the best, all are great tho ![]()
.
sure…I’ll try and get one to you tomorrow/or the next day…we’re bracing for a hurricane here in florida…
Phil
Awesome! I love your work. Remembers me on both, childhood and magic mushroom trips. ![]()
hey phil, cool mushroom, saw this on top of the page and instantly knew it’s one of yours, good to see you posting new works
Really colorful, happy, vibrant… brilliant!!!
Love the use of spirals throughout. Makes for a more fluid, organic, and even magical appeal.
I absolutely love this kind of stuff. The mushrooms, the colors, the greenery…
These remind me of some of Pauline Bayne’s work, and especially the covers that Gervasio Gallardo did for Ballantine back in the late 60s early 70s as well as the original Niel Hancock books.
Yours are even better!
They also remind me a bit of something that Erol le Cain might have done.
FANTASTIC!
I would also love to have a larger sized one for my desktop. That would be so cool!

Wow, those Mushrooms look pretty Magical. I’m sure those kids will learn about how mystifying and wonderous wild fungus can actually be. I’d type a longer reply but my face melted onto the keyboard. Nice pics.
Hey Rei,
Thanks for the comment…
How is the Concept art coming since the class? You still finding some time to do some drawing and painting…you were making good progress. Anyway, I hope all is well.
Best,
Phil
