Emit NParticle from animated character

Hello,
I found a bug in Maya 2016.5
I’m hoping there is a work around.
Choosing an animated a character to emit Nparticles from, (with emitter type set to surface) only emits from the characters first frame. It does not update with the deformed skin’s motion.
I checked with Maya 2013 and it works, same with Maya 2016.

I need 2016.5 for Mash…

Does anyone know a solution ?

Further more… this bug does not effect Legacy Particles in 2016.5

I just tried it, on a skinned cylinder with simple animation. it works. Must be something with your settings. Set the playback to play every frame, maybe that is a problem
I tested it in maya 2016.5 SP1

Try setting Animation: Evaluation mode to DG in your prefs. The parallel evaluation mode initially broke a lot of things in nParticles, which is particularly sensitive to order of DG evaluation. For the cut you are using it is probably better to keep it set to DG if you are doing particle work.
