Embedding 3D content in these forums

I work on http://ourbricks.com/ which let you upload and interact w 3D content. The content can then be embedded on other sites and forums such as this one. Here is an example of that:

I have been in communication with the CGS Team team and we decided to ask you the community if there was interest in such a feature here?

Am happy to respond to any questions.

This would be a really awesome feature to CGS!

This requires a specific recent browser and except the gaming forums I think we deal with polycounts way beyond the reach of the plugin.

You do need to run Chrome or FF currently but Safari, Opera and their mobile browsers are not far behind. This leaves IE for which you will need a plugin such as Chrome Frame until they sign on the WebGL standard.

WebGL is hardware accelerated so you are able to load large poly models such as:

Since the content like anything in a webbrowser is being streamed to you then you will feel the size on load times. But you are basically right that games and other real-time applications are the main targets for this.
