EIM to RealFlow?

#1

RealFlow will only import triangulated geometry - as far as I can tell.
Haven’t had much, (read any), success so far exporting .obj’s from Modeler.
Anyone done this before? Will Obj2fact do the trick?
Thanks,
Mike.

why not just use the NL plug-in?

To get geometry into RealFlow I run it through Transporter setting the side limit to 3 and exporting (I think) as LWO.

Thanks Ian, that worked.
One more ? (at least for now:), how do you get the Realflow mesh back into EIAS?
Mike.

#5

it works very well

CJ I wish you wouldn’t be so cryptic:), Which NL plug-in.
Plus, this is for the snow effect on a project and I think you had reccommended RealFlow?
Mike.

Sorry, I assumed it was general knowledge that Northern Lights has a Realflow I/O plug-in… it takes a project from EIAS including animation and exports it as a RF scene. Then it will import the RF meshes back into EIAS.

And it is freeware.

Thanks CJ. I didn’t know.
