Title really says it all. Since the products have always been “Electric”. Perhaps something related to electricity.
EIM Needs a Name
I like EIM as it is, but if this is to become an independent product, I guess you are right. By the way, it ought to be a name one feels pedantically superior for dropping it into conversations :D. Oh, well
“Tesla”?
“Chair”
(but, seriously, that would feel as arbitrarily outré as “Maya” felt at the time, plus if Luxology can get away with something as silly as “Modo”…). At the very least we could say that was the project’s secret codename. It has to have a codename!
“Orbit” (a bit oblique)
“Ohm” (a bit mistic by misunderstanding)
“Electricity” (just that, and sounds exciting)
Oh, I give up. I’m trying to think but nothing happens
To close to drool - which may or may not be a bad thing:)
My son suggested ‘Blitz’. German for lightning. Puts Ubernurbs and Ubermesh in context!
I like the sound of Variac - whether it’s a fitting name or not, I don’t know.
Variac Rectifier
Electric mater?
Electric Matthof?
Electric volume?
Electric dreams?
Hard stuff…
FelixCat
On a serious note, maybe “Conductor” as in electrical Conductor, as well as a symphony Conductor where he directs the music. Both definitions work i think.
…perhaps something around ‘Super luminary’- physics associated with travel faster than light…

EIMS
EIM always seemed less than EIAS so give it the credit of being a modelling system in it’s own right.
Thankfully ‘Shark’ has already been bagged by Concepts Unlimited, who found after attending a Jeff Koons retrospective at the MOMA that Shark holds far more meaning in concept CAID - strange times.
I would much prefer new robust new features to a whizzy new name or any other deconstructed kitshe.

Fuse, Volta, Klystron, Faraday, Plasma, Coil, Raygun, Electrodo, Cathode…
Electrics aside
Soligram, Holo, ÜberNURBS (that would instantly pique the conceptual/CAD crowd’s curiosity, wouldn’t it? :)), Überdrive, Clay, Manta, Fierro…
And just for the sake of being weird: James (it sounds sort of manly :D).
That makes a lot of sense if it evolves into a complete solution (modeling+texturing+camera at the very least).
But I miss EIM already, if it is going to change at all.
