Maybe I don’t understand the concept,
but why would somebody “switch” from
Photoshop to EI? How does that make sense?
JM
It’s a good chance if you use 3D software you have PhotoShop. My guess the thinking is, if the 3D software you use is not listed as one of the “switchable” packages, you can make the switch to EI via PhotoShop. Maybe EIT should list the offer in some of the PhotoShop forums.
Hello Everyone,
I just want to clear up some possible confusion.
With the competitive upgrade offer, we are not asking anyone to switch their programs for EIAS, we are just asking them to make the purchase and use EIAS in conjunction with whatever current programs they may use.
So basically, we don’t ask for anything, other then proof of ownership of one of the listed programs.

hello Phil and all,
i´m currently not planning this, but i have a question regarding competitive upgrades. If i upgrade my app with EIAS, or i upgrade EIAS with for example Cinema4D or Lightwave (because they offer also competitive upgrades for EIAS) i assume i can still use my current software, but after doing so i can no longer upgrade my original software with a newer version, because the company where i choosed my upgrade is then the license holder. Right?
Regards
Stefan
Hi,
We sell the license of EIAS to the purchaser and hold no other licenses. This is the way we, EITG, run our competitive upgrade offer.
We are just offering discounted pricing for those customers who own other programs and would like to purchase EIAS. We do not want their licenses from those other programs.
Phil
Great offer, might consider it.
And Mike, considering A:M is now at 49$, it would make a great deal for anyone interested in EIAS, as the normal price of the app is 795$ !
But i don’t think they will go that way.
Cheers,
Laurent aka Tartiflette
Just looking out for my fellow hashers:)
but seriously, the a:m community is in a bit of
dissaray right now.
The web sub. of $49 is not fortelling
a good story.
The leader has gone a bit over the fence:)
$49?? I paid over $150!! ARGH! kidding of course. AM was more than worth the money. I just wish it was a poly program and would talk to other programs via fbx so i could bring into EI to render…I posted a thread on the AM forum…hahaha, they never change, they deleted it cause i mentioned talking with other progrmas. AM truly wants to cut itself off from the rest of the 3d world, alas why i stopped using it. Although i liked it a great deal
oh well.
My main want right now is to get my other apps scenes into EIAS for rendering!! :applause:
Unfortunately the story of a lot of users who loved the ease of use  and the “straightforwardness” of this app when it comes to CA, but never could get used of “God’s” practice. :argh: (the creator of the program not to name him…)
Well, like you mention…
Cheers,
Laurent aka Tartiflette
I have more to rant about then anyone, in my opinion about a:m…
But lets keep this on topic of EIAS.
Sorry to have mentioned it.

Hi Mike
Well i was on topic. Basically, I just want Camera to open up to other apps like Brian stated with RIB files. Would be great to get such functionality in Camera/EIAS.
$50 more to comp upg from Photoshop than for me to upgrade my current EI 6.5. Doesn’t pay to wait…
