EDIT! Uploading Images to the CGP Gallery WILL NOT START a CGTalk Gallery Thread

#47

Ok, I’ll turn the checkbox off by default.

Yes, if you unselect the box, you still create a thread, however the system automagically rejects it without sending you a notice (Rebecca you’ll notice a lot of threads in the rejected forum that haven’t been views) This is intentional behaviour

Thanks Anton! :bounce:

P’Clip, neither of those is really a link to the Gallery ~ you probably get the same error message as Aggie did previously right? Like this:

vBulletin Message Paperclip, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

[ol]
[li]Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else’s post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?[/li]> [li]If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.[/li]> [/ol]

Even if you uncheck the submit to CGTalk Gallery option, a thread is still created, but it is AUTOMATICALLY REJECTED, and those are the two threads you are seeing in your User CP. If you click on those, they go nowhere (they’re “rejected” threads), so don’t worry about it.

Cheers,

~Rebeccak

#54

kraal,

You’re welcome to keep those images in the CGTalk Gallery, or, if you prefer them to be deleted (say, if they are older examples of work) then that’s fine too, just let me know.

Cheers,

~Rebecca

#61

Problem Fixed…

Thanks to Anton, the option to submit your CGPortfolio image to the CGTalk Gallery is now UNCHECKED by DEFAULT, meaning that you will not be submitting work to the CGTalk Gallery unless you want to.

Cheers,

#62

Yay, I will now be able to sleep at night!

#63

I can stop Haiku’ing!

#64

I just noticed another addition. What’s the ‘Add this image to the ‘Featured Artwork’ list’ option do? It’s under my images in the gallery.

#65

Thanks for changing the thread title Anton.

#66

It’ll be gone soon

It’s a moderation feature - currently moderation involves me digging into the database and tapping in code
