Edges and Faces...

I personally like poly modelling. Being able to select edges and faces seems like it could be a nice feature for tweaking a mesh. Just click on the spline, select edgleloop, edit selected membership, connect edges…Not sure how faces would work beyond selection(I think theres a select face tool but i’ve never really used that, so maybe its not the greatest idea. but edges would be nice) you cant really extrude them and maintain a good mesh…

No, none of that really applies to spline modeling…there are already ways to select the equivalents of the “edge loop” (complement spline) and faces (patches, with Patch Select Mode) and you have to stitch, cut, extrude, and activate the 5-pt. patches to extrude from the surface. It would be a neat feature to be able to break the model along a spline, like a reversed Copy/Flip/Attatch, but other than that, it’s all really either present or impossible…

AMLoft can attatch two “edge loops” with equal numers of points, or you can do them one-by-one…

I know that the full functionality of poly modeling would not be transferable. This is mainly for tweaking and faster selection. Like hulls in nurbs models, except they dont extend the entire length of the curve. As for extrusion, yeah, no hope of that carrying over.
I guess i just was hoping for something quicker and more precise than marqee (sp?) select or point by point.

(PS. sorry said edgeloop, meant edge ring)
