Hopefully you have intentions of turning your excercise into a final piece, because you have a great start. I’m very curious to see your updates on this.
E.D.A.H - Every Day An Hour
donglu i think this has a really good potential of becoming a really nice pic
but i think that there are some things that dont quite fit there at least at my point of view
*the shoulders muscles on the left side seem to have no ending /definision to her shoulder so it kinda looks like she has none
*her right hand seems to become quite big (at least in compared to her right skinny shoulder)after it passes the sheet.
*and her neck muscles seem abit off and the neck is undefined.
i think that to make it easy for you(instead of rendering her out just to find out you dont want that colour for the sheet or unhappy with the pose) its best to do things simultainously rather then rendering one part and then thinking about the rest of the stuff.there is a great great video here on cgtalk of a really great artist named Marta Dahlig’s (dont know if yuve watched it yet ) which she shows her creating a piece for expose 7 http://features.cgsociety.org/story_custom.php?story_id=5228 and she really defines everything simoultainously which i think is quite good cuz then you dont have to fight over the changes you suddently want to make.not saying this is how you should work but the proccess of working on everything simoultainously is quite efficient
looking forward to see how yull progress with it
Hi, acb12, thanks for the suggestions. There are just still so many place which have been worked out yet, not only the shoulders, but the hands, the feet, the breast area, etc…I am throwing the general information down first, so I can have a good idea for the composition and the color palette, then I will proceed for tweaking.
Stay tuned!
Head study

Last 2 without reference 40 min

Still working on the overall feel of the image, adjusting the color palette and the mood. That dress is killing me…
