Dynamic Ecosystem changes after resuming render

#1

When rendering an animation of a dynamic ecosystem i find it really annoying that the ecosystem populates completely different after aborting and resuming the render. Is there a way to fix this or do i have to render the whole thing at once and hope that it doesn’t crash??

thanks, s—70

I too find this very annoying. I’ve re-rendered many frames because of this.

A solution will be very helpful.

This may help, unless you’ve read it already.

If using an image to control density, turn off image interpolation methods. Use a sampling quality of 100% for the ecosystem density.

Dynamic ecosystem do not create premenant positioned instances. it is reevaluated every frame. ( this is information available in Vue manual)
Work around, create additional overlapping terrains (strips) on edges and populate them or
use manual placement (painting) instants in areas where it may be visible.
By disabling option “dissolve by near objects” in ecosystem layer may reduce or illuminate amount of “jumping” instances.
Again this is not bug, it’s annoying limitation. Read manual.
