Thanks for advice paperclip, I see what you mean, I’ve tried to adjust it a bit hopefully looks better now (but I’m not that great at anatomy, probably why Im taking a course :))

Hi all

this is amazing challenge, all works are really good, i try to put my latin vision of this kind of character and illustrate ( have more than 4 years i don’t do, change to 3d ), a Cacique ( general ) in my country cacique is a lider of the caribe tribu, they represent “la Resistencia”, they are warrior boss who all follow in combat, this image is a portrait of Cacique Guaicaipuro I hope finish this image, and all kind of critic are welcome, good luck for all.

naito - Much better, looks like a veteran now

saint-max - Oh yes, very slick

ektho - Nice warrior look although IMO it’d look better cropped at the waist, cropped in at both sides and having his hands clasped around the hilt of a sword or weapon infront of him. Just an idea

Today I couldn’t stop working on it. Seeing the others costantly improving thery’re images really gives you a boost!

Please let me know if there’s something (actually a lot probably) that really needs a change, I can’t think of what improving first and how… I got the sensation the whole image lacks texure, but that’s something I really don’t know how to do so I think I’ll skip it this time. :smiley:

naito - glad I could help, the colours are great, very moody, love the piece
artys - the facial expression and lighting on the pic is really cool
syrez-one - the dirt and texture added to the jacket matches the style of the rest of the painting. I like the eyes as is, the facial expression adds to the impact of the eyes
