                   Tritigon is a demon with bones of ice. His lover was a fire demon named Hefriti. In order to be able to touch each other without causing severe damage, they had someone from another race cast a magical spell on them. This magic came at a high cost. Each had to cut off one finger to give to the other to wear as a magical necklace. During a long battle a norm cast a spell on Hefriti. Tritigon grabbed her and took her from the front lines. During the escape, the magic attack became distorted because of the magical necklaces. Instead of killing her, it caused her to be absorbed into Tritigon's body, instantly turning her also into an ice demon. The trauma caused her to sink into a coma. Now, with Hefriti gradually receding into Tritigon's body, he races time to hunt down the norm who cast the spell, and make him reverse it.

OK, Here’s a first concept. I’ve already started to change the design but I figured I should start showing my work.

You have an interesting idea going on here, I don’t think I’ve ever seen ice demons. :slight_smile:
The CGS logo fits well with the rest of the armor too.

Nice concept, the only thing I am afraid though is the texturing. You will have to play around a lot with the the spec and the gloss…to get the feel of ice.

Ferx - Thanks, I’m almost through blocking in the model. Soon I’ll start posting pics regularly.

vikramvr - For the ice textures I’m going to take what I learned from doing the gems in this pic and build upon that.

Ok, I’ve blocked out the model based on the concept. Now it’s time to figure out what I’ll really go with and then start on the high resolution mesh. This version is over 24k polygons. I’m considering changing the wing design some.

Almost done tweaking the mesh. I moved the wing to the other side and reduced its complexity. I also made some color changes and added in some more details. The next post I do might show the beginning of the high res model.

Alright, been busy working on the model. I made a few last tweaks to the design. I changed his necklace from something he wears, to something that grows out of him. I’ve started on the high resolution model. I’ve done the most work on his torso and started defining his ice shards. Here’s what I’ve got so far.

Ok, I’ve taken most of these screen shots in orthographic views in monochrome to better see the shape of the mesh. I hope to have the high resolution version ready for ZBrush soon.

Here’s more work done on the high Resolution model. I’ll probably have it in ZBrush within a day or two.

Here’s what I’ve done in ZBrush. Now I’ll begin modeling the in-game version from this. I may add more detail later if I have extra time.

Been a while since I last posted. In that time I finished the in-game model, and released it in beta form for Unreal Tournament 3 with early textures. I’m working all day to finalize the textures and post all necessary images for Dominance War. Until then, here’s what the UT3 version currently looks like.
