DeadInTheAttic Hey their! thx for your comment, mhh I dont quite understand what you mean by that. You think it looks like Dmitry Parkin entrance from last year ? As for the head Ill work on that once ive got the idea for how the transition from skin to stone will work.

Hey mate Thx alot 
no worries, Im about to take this back into 3dmax to create a more accurate and sculptable base mesh. Because unforunatly my pc is quite old and I cant really subD over 4million poly.
But on the next retopo I ll put the head on ^^.
Im just testing the texture resolution to see if i should make the details bigger and I think ill have to. I plan on making the cracks alot wider.
Ive been looking at what burns look like (Yerk! :eek:) so Ill add blistering etc were the flesh meets lava. And im not shure how much of the left arm to make stone and how much to keep as flesh. any sugesstions ?

Had a go at a head sculpt, tried out a new way of making the stone, Id like to take it futher and have it like that on the body but the limitations of my PC might make that hard. Also it Might not look so good on the normal map. I’ll do some tests .

Nice Head Sculpt, are you going to keep one side organic and other side of the face stone like? btw… would love to know the new method you found for making stone? :wise:

Yeah I thnk I’ll keep the two sides to his face, dont think its a good idea ?
As for the technique its basicly just using the clay tubes and flaten brush, I got the idea from a guy on zbrushcentral, I’ll be sure to credit him for it.
Im still not convinced with the organic side of the head though…mhhh
oh mann reallly like the nasty molten lava state of that image ,really the work is comming along, waiting for the next level …

Heres my last updates ive done over the last day or so, today Ill be cleaning up the sculpt so any feedback on the Highrez should be today so I can change it. Because tomorrow Ill make the Lowrez and UVw.

Awful week for me, my computers motherboard failed and I cant use it. So I’m working on a low end PC. (its only got like 2Go of RAM and just an old graphic chipset lol).
So anyways Ive just struggled. Luckily I had finished my zbrush-ing :wip:. And am now working on the textures. My low stands at aprox 7200 trig. the remaining trig will be used for the chain and some lava).Some wips with diffuse and norm/AO

Thank god for the extra 48hours, Ill put thoses to good use 
Anyways update, mostly on the skin texture. Ive put it in a mental ray material, the spec map is just a place holder. Ill work on that tomorrow and Ill add the smaller details to the normal map. Hopefully the bulk of the texture will be done by tomorrow evening. And I can move onto setting up a nice scene for the beauty shot. C&C is welcome as always ^^
