hi everyone,

         just couldn't resist after looking at somuch awesomeness , this is going to the second time and once again i fight for the red grey and black :)
             
              ill go for a Cyborg . im going to try sculpting the mechanical part in zbrush, hopefully its going to be good ,if not im going to retopo in max and hope for the best.
             
             thought i would do better this time, but from the looks of it im already really really behind, so im going to start off with sculpting and develope the concept sketch based on my z model.
             .

thanx namnocilis for the boost.

heres some zbrush concepting i did, used my best basemeshes and cameup with some forms to start the concepts, i will be using these after i retopo them.

posed the character in zbrush and took it to photoshop for some concept.

will keep refining the concept as i proceed.

Great start with sculpting… sculpting part is awesome! :thumbsup: but only thing i felt is that the character looks more like a norm warlord mainly because the leg part looks more like an armour than a cybernetic system and also because of that fur kind of thing on his shoulders… may be you could try showing some scarred tissues through which mechanical parts are exposed, something like what u did for terminator… or alteast those areas where mechanical part join there should be some wire connections to muscles and tissues…

very cool, I cant wait till ya get to that fur :slight_smile: looks fun… the only thing that looks a little off to me is the little spikes you have on the toes… they look a little weak… like they would break off if he put any pressure on them

namnocilis: thanx man, it does look a lot like armor rather than mechanical legs, but i pretty sure its my drawing, ill update the concept after i have got some convincing mechanical feel to the leg,
also regarding the skin and tissue tear for the terminator kind of feel, i realy didnt want to go down that road,but ill see what i can come up with

kmanning: thanx man, those spikes are going to be bigger , its like the 3 spkies we find on the tip of snow boots to climb ice bergs and stuff.,

holy moly man, this guy might be able to flip a hummer with these big man boobs. Looking great, I like the idea of a snowy type of guy. By the way, what you up in the police force? quite insane life change!

worked on the upper body and the face, did a retopo the viens are not the final as i just added them quickly for a test,will refer to a proper refrence later.

also worked on the leg a bit, so ill post another bigger pic of the guy with the legs and his body,now time to have a long sleep.

Hey thats great body and head modelling there!

But I think the legs are too short. He looks more like a dwarf proportion body than a standard human proportion.

Also I am thinking that you might get a better quality if you do the modelling of the legs in a “traditional 3d apps” such as Maya or 3ds. I know it takes much longer but I think the details you get out of it on a normal map are much cleaner and sharper.

Look at this modelling done by a guy from russian site on DW4 as well. Might inspire you.

thanx man,

yea i too think that the legs seem a short, will fix that, aslo the legs is not the final model. this is just a proxy so that i dont have to waste time extruding and chamfer details and then in the end dont like em, so i probably do a retopo of the leg in max.

The sculpt is looking really good! Id like to see some more cyborg parts if its possible, maybe some teared of skin like someone meantion earlier. Or some glasspipes with drugs stuck into his back for instantpump when he is fighting.
