Hi,
I thought I would actually prefer to do a 3d final character than a full illustration.
So I decided to put my 2d thread on hold and go for 3d.
I will try to finish the 2d if I have time, but the 3d thread is my first priority.
Here is my concept.
She is a Demon Princess of Death/Darkness power.
Her inner power transform into floating blades or snakes of pure evil who can attack.
When enemies are wounded, an essence of death spread inside their bodies.
Didn't find her name yet.
So far I prefer this one, which one do you prefer?

Your like me, no one has posted anything on your thread yet :curious: I like the one that you have chosen for the larger thumb, the blades are cool around her fists they will be interesting in 3D. Are you going to make that shape around her head be the CGsociety symbol? Looks good keep up the good work.

No it is just a spikey crown really. I place the logo on her neck.
I think it would have been weird to place the logo above her head.:P

Hum … I think I will keep the snake on her head.
I like the idea of floating blade on both arms.
An update.
I add details on the drawing so I would have a clearer idea on what to Zbrush and what kind of material is the cloth, armor etc…

Just finish an other concept. So far I prefer this one.
This demon princess is like a fish from the deep. She lives in a globe of pure darkness energy. She sometimes goes out of this globe.
When she goes out of her globe to feed, she uses the light on the tips of her arm made of pure darkness energy to attract some people, to steal their souls. This light hypnotize them and they feel attracted by it. Even the robot can't resist this attraction. When they are just in front of her arm some kind of tentacles of darkness energy get out of her arm. They start crawling slowly on the body of the victim till they are completely absorb by it.
- I get one problem i am wondering about. How do you think I can represent this globe of energy?
On the drawing the globe is represent by just a small part. Because this is suppose to be a massive globe.
- I am wondering if it will make sense if I represent it the same way in the 3D version.
- Do you think I can included it as part of the pedestal? (Which apparently is polygons limitless).

Hey,
Here is my final design. I got rid of the dark cloud above her. Thought might be hard to make something nice with the polygons restriction.
I got rid as well of her hand with the glowing finger tips.
Just made her as a princess of darkness with dark energy inside her. Sometimes the dark energy pour out of her veins and creates black cracks on her skin.
Moving to modeling now

an other update. All the scars/wrinkles are some kind of darkness power swelling out of her body.
I am thinking to make these cracks look like LAVA ROPE. With glowing dark energy out of the crack.

Here is my low poly 9942 polys.
Working now on the texture. I block all the main color and details. Lot of work to go to refine and detail the map now, but that is the most enjoyable part of texturing.

Looks good man! The only thing I have to say is that the pose could use some more waight to it maybe just turn the hips a bit. so that right side of the hip is higher than the left. but other than that it looks good man keep it up man you’re almost done!

Nice! I love the colours and texture you’ve got there. Especially her thinner/claw arm - looks almost edible O_o!
