DWIV-3D-Abomination-Dredge

Hey everyone!

I plan on modeling an abomination.

I was originally going to go with the stitched together type of abomination, but thought a conjoined twin would be an interesting spin.

One of them is a glutton and the other is starving. Basically the big guy is taking all of the other twin's nutrients when he eats; so the thinner twin is constantly attempting to kill the fat one. The glutton restrains his brother so he may kill/eat anything in site without being bothered.

All comments, critiques, thoughts, or donations will be appreciated.

You can bring home the bacon, fry it up in a grill… Nice start. Now start work’n that fatback.

WEEEEEEEEEEEEE all the way home!

Here is the current base mesh that I am working with.

I think that i may have to change the position of the ropes from the concept. I am working on a rather slow computer and in order for me to get any decent resolution I think i am going to have to position the ropes in places that will make decent subtools in Zbrush.

The plan is to have this base finished by today or tomorrow, so that i can start on the fun stuff at the beginning of the week. =)

Any and all comments are welcome. Thanks!

Current Base mesh… Still working on where to place the ropes, and playing with ideas for the cloth.

#5

I just finished Zbrushing the head. I will start working on the torso today.

#6

very cool. I like the teeth and gums.

#7

Hey, thanks a lot Ravis. The head will get another pass later on, but i am attempting to get everything around 80% complete, and with the extra time i have (if any) doing extra passes on them. I plan on adding some smaller details later on as well as making the teeth look more mangled.

I’m working on the body at the moment, and I hope to have an update for you guys later on tonight. Thx for the reply. =)

cool abomination ! creepy and freak I like it!

#9

looks cool so far, a quick suggestion; you should take the nose off of the smaller face, I think it would look more aggressive, menacing, better (in my opinion)…

#10

Thanks for the comments and suggestions guys. At the moment, iIm not sure if i want to remove the skinny guy’s nose completely, but i may make it more disfigured when i go back to it. Possibly stretch the nostril across his face and show more of a hint of the cartilage under his nose.

Here is what the torso looks like so far. There are quite a few places on here where i need more resolution in the mesh. So i plan on making my way to the arms next. When i get those to the same resolution as the torso, detach them and make them unique subtools so i can then divide the torso again.

I really liked how you pulled off two faces in one body. Each kinda have their own sense of personality and being. Your doing a fantastic job. Can’t wait to see more.

#12

Creepy as hell… You did a great job merging the body parts togehter

#13

one of the funny characters here. funny in a disturbing way. i’m loving screaming heads. also pighead puts much originality into your concept.

#14

Great 3D character.

keep it up:beer:

A real nightmare ;___;

Good work :stuck_out_tongue:

MatthewNovak- Thanks man! I’m glad you like it. Trying to make the 2 characters look like they belong together, instead of just placed side by side has been the most difficult part so far for me.

MartinNeilsen- Thank you! It has been a learning experience, that’s for sure.

ersinerturk- I had a lot of different sketches for the belly area. I was playing with ideas for different gut plates for some time. Most were either metal, or skulls with tusks or horns. I drew up a sketch of a rotting pig head and all of my friends seemed to like it wasy better than my other ideas, so i stuck with it. Thanks for the comment.
Ataulfo- Thanks buddy! I’ll try to make you guys proud.

Alexy- Thanks. Still a long way to go.

Thanks again for the kind words guys.

Loving it! The shapes merge really well.

Nice!!..twisted in every sense of the word!!..looking out for the next update…it could have been interesting to also fuse the pig’s head in there aswell for more gross factor maybe?..great example of abomination!..

dig!!

DogmaD- Thanks man!

JohnWoo- Hey, thanks a lot! Adding the pig head as part of the stomach would be a good idea. His feet are going to be somewhat pig-like, so it would make a pretty decent fit i think. I see you are working for Ubi. I am down south at Redstorm. maybe we will cross paths some day.

I (for the most part) finished the arms yesterday. I plan on detaching them from the torso in order to make them unique subtools, so that i can subdivide them once more. I will probably touch them up a little after then, but I’m scheduled to move on to the next part of the character, so that will have to wait a bit. I will probably either work on the straps around his arms or the legs tonight.

Here is what i have so far…
