These are great, maybe you could try some twisting of the roots for the dynamism your looking for.

#84

thanks for the help guys
twisted the body a bit…

#85

Yep, cool modelling sheet, looks like something out of William S. Burroughs’ Naked Lunch - cool design. Looking forward to seeing how the main image develops - composition looks basically sound but a little too central perhaps.

#86

thanks Simon. I didnt know the film- googled it, looks wicked. Im quite happy with this composition…

#87

composition 4 (problably the final one) and colour test…
critics are welcome! merci

#88

really great concept man! I’ve read all your thread…you have passed a really long road man:P but now it looks great, this “wings” are just amazing, but I think head i s better in this b&w image…

#89

Thanks PencilEater, yep but still a long way to go.

I started my first detailing. The composition is the final one I think. I add the colours in a later stage.
critiques are most welcome. thanks

very impressive! you work flow has a lot of harmony and its great to see your developing proses run so smoothly. your comp is also looking good, but are you going to throw out some more ideas. you still have some time. Or maybe the same but with one creepy had sticking out to give some perspective. keep it up bro!

#91

thanks live2contage… The composition changes every hour:argh: and Iam working also on the foreground so the last update wont be the final one. But i apreciated your comment and maby there are other suggestions out there… so tell me:bounce:

#92

thats great, yeah you have plenty of time, so give us your best, I love your stuff man, great inspiration, maybe he can be tormenting a victime under him by the laying of hands…or the trunk can be growing over someones foot, okay I’ll shut up, just wanted to give my support amigo.

#93

I’ve read in the DW rules that your character MUST be painted in your team colors…

“Your character MUST possess your team’s colors and/or your team’s insignia/logo. If you don’t have the colors or the insignia located somewhere on your character, your entry will not make it into the top 50. Please represent your team properly. This is a team event so make your team proud!”

I’ve found it…It could be very bad if your work won’t be in top 50 only because of the wrong color or lack of the logo…

#94

thanks very much PencilEater. but if you take a look at my modeling-sheet you can see the CGS-logo on the creatures shoulder… and ll add it later in my illustration.. but theres still a long way to go… thanks anyway:beer:

#95

…with robot. I know I say it everytime but now I`m happy with composition and content… we will see:)

#96

Hey Michael,

Took some time to see your work. It looks very amazing very detailed and realistic looking. Can’t wait to see in color my friend… Post up some more updates, take care for now.

#97

:stuck_out_tongue: heh, I’m not so observant as I thought:P

In your last image, I think that composition is running to the left, upper corner too much. The robot, and your Cyclamen have the same direction, maybe try to paint this robot directed to the right

#98

ShogunWarrior: thanks- yes colours… I`m starting now!

PencilEater: feedback appreciated- though this diaginal is part of my light concept. Because my creature has no activ force (moving arm or weapon ect.) The light is coming trough the trees -backlighting the creatures head and finally falls onto the robot… In my b/w image the major light-lines and are missing and theres also a lack of contrast- Ill fix that when i`m starting with the colour… and thats now!! It probably takes some time up to my next update… so long
But! as always comments and critiques most welcome!!
