This is probably going to change drastically…just getting warmed up.
I think i’m going to go for something more mystical, and a tequila drinking puppy running around somewhere… I’m with paperclip on that one:beer:

some color…

I think they’re small because you’re attaching them as thumbnails and not embedding them with [ img ] tags… Although I’m new too, so I could be wrong. ^^

#5

how do you do that?

#6

You need to upload them to a image hosting site like photobucket or imageshack.

#7

you guys rock…thanks for helping! :buttrock:

#8

Latest… :bounce:

#9

looks great. you’re really fast!

Just one curious question
If it is a game, this energy circle “thingy” on a place where heart should be, looks like a first target I would aim for. So what would happen if he gets hit there?

#11

hahahahahahaaaa…that was good…sorry I couldn’t stop laughing…and then when I saw your kill the wizard, you got into a fit.Great way to start the day.
Well let’s think of something…let me see… basically his body produces huge amounts of raw energy right, like all consuming, and if he didnt have the have a cultivator on his back it would consume him to :buttrock:
so thats why his always flying around making daemon, barbecue he needs to get rid of this energy consistently.
So back to the bullet, it would probably get consumed, recicled and then shot back in a gush of raw power, and when it comes to little deamons, well darkness dosent work so well around light
in any case you do have a point!

#12

just trying this link thing out. sorry

I love that his hair seems to be made of energy. I definitely have the same problem with that one energy circle on his chest, though – it’d be the first place I’d aim, too. >>

here’s the face. I painted it originally in normal skin color, but im not sure what looks better.
By this weekend I should have 3 new sketches of completely new characters to chose from…so if you want to drop by and give any C&C it would be great! :bounce:
thanks guys…and yeah it is somewhat of a bullseye…poor dude!

#15

I don’t know why, but I’m drawn to the one with skin color more. Maybe because the other one is just… too green/blue, if you know what I mean. It’s nice to have that small burst of another color in there.

#16

Thanks inqy, your right. The natural skin color gives the whole thing some variety. I’ll be posting the last details tomorrow, and the light on Friday. After that I’ll start posting sketches for a new character.
Thanks for your feedback, take care!

HI there! Well I’m almost done, some final details for tomorrow and that’s it. This isn’t what I’m going to use, but I really needed some practice since this is my second cg piece I ever done, and what I’m planning on doing will go way over my head.
So if you have any technical C&Cs on my coloring or anything it would be great. I’m a real new guy
so anything you have to say will be a big help. Thanks!
Big hug to all and keep up that incredible work
it’s a big inspiration.

I’ll start posting sketches after Sunday…see you then, and take it easy on the weekend…or no work will get done, well, if you can pull it off, have a blast!

this is the direction things are going. I was going to work on it more, but i thought it would be better to get as many C&Cs in the developig process as possible. thanks for looking.
see you tomorrow.

The main thing I see is that it’s really hard in your picture to figure where the light is coming from. You should try to define a more directional lighting, with casted shadows to add some depth and volume to your artwork.
even if you have multiple light sources, try to have a main one, and use the other ones to enhance some areas.

the new design seems to have more potential by the way even though it’s still in the rough phase.
