War is upon us! This theme is superb, and for me the demon part really calls out for some Lovecraft. My goal is to create a seductive yet grotesque mermaid-demon-princess, which will be a bit tricky… :curious:

Well, it’s time for my first crappish sketch. The idea is some sort of mermaid-temptress with a Lovecraft-looking rear end. She’s a demon princess that uses her darkness-power to disguise her nasty side and lure inocent victims into her deadly trap. Half siren, half squid/snail/lobster.
This girl has a lot of junk in her trunk…
anav_83, Titan, artistcg, mrpeace and Donglu many thanks for your comments. About her weapon, I’ve been thinking and I guess a concealed dagger would be the best fit. Any larger weapon would just not go with the idea of the character (more luring and backstabbing rather than frontal combat).
Heres another wip with a bit more shadding:
A bit more on the concept: the squid/lobster part, instead of throwing ink throws a cloud of darkness that hides her monstrous side. So, her victims only see a beautiful siren with a sweet voice that entices them to get near, just within the grasp of her deadly tentacles.
Right now I’m starting on a close-up portrait of her mermaid side, so that you guys see how seductive I want her to be.
So back to sketching for me!

GregStrangis: thanks mate. The seductive siren theme can only bring Amy Lee to my mind. So that’s how her portrait is turning out, only with mermaid features… Hope I do her justice…
