:applause: ah the joy of relief from so much stress! that’s gotta feel good eh? so, my biggest concern is the face. If the her eyes and mouth are going to be sewn shut, then there should be some sort of scaring and stress marking from the initial wounds and from them being sewn. There should also be some bruising and redness from her trying to move her mouth and eyelids. Although after years of being shut, I doubt she would try to open them, but there will always be some involuntary movement that will create these sorts of markings.

d xNormal that i thought would be the best way to transfer my detail from the hipoly to the low poly but i was getting a lot of tracing errors in the face…

Did you use cages to limit the ray distance and to control the direction?
And try to avoid 3dsmax’s OBJ exporter… messes the vertex normals a lot.
Also try to scale up a bit the meshes… usually can happen some floating point accuracy errors when is radius is <=4.0
The cage should cover completely the highpoly… and better extrude it a bit more than should be to avoid tracing errors.

Btw, very good character! I like the glow on the eyes/mouth! ( well, and the models in general are awesome! )

I agree, you character is good and she has a cool glow…I’m trying to understand how to put the glow in LightWave too…

Firerbert : it really feels good man  after so long… it has been a great experience because we’ve seen each others characters develop day after day and see them turn for the better or for the worst (like my case) and i feel happy.
but for what the design is i think ishes not that bad but thats not for me to decide is it? :scream: i still wanna be in the poster .
and about the face textures i agree, the skin seems very clean now that i think about it…ill have to paint some trauma, thx man

jogshy : wow the creator of xnormal! i didn't do any of that, the first time i used it it was for a more complex character in an unmodified base mesh and everything went perfect and it was about the same scale too thats why i said it didn't make sense that i was getting tracing errors in parts as simple as the lips but i see what your saying.
just last night i downloaded the new version and this time really went and read the documentation so ill definitely be using it for all my future projects and definitely donate some dough if a get a job in games :deal: its hands down one of the best software out there the only thing that i would love to see it do is make the normals out of a photograph by it self instead of having to import different lit photos oh and better transparency support :).

and thanks alot fo the help!

medunecer : hey man thanks it makes me feel alot better, i was a little worried about the glow in the face not fitting in but it was in my head all the time that the sewings were magical so i had to do something to make them look that way. i hope you figure out how to do it in LightWave, wish i could help but don't know anything about that soft :hmm:

#46

Cool! And I like the glow on her face. It will be a great entry!

#47

thx again medunecer :stuck_out_tongue:

heres a little update,

i finished the rigging and posed her a little bit, this is kind of a test of the winning pose but no pedestal yet.
its HW render so no glows just incandece
right now im working with the textures a bit more.

neo-nora’s uber generic background story:
(i wrote this right now, i know it sucks but its just for fun  )

nora was a renowned bounty hunter in the providence of Fora of the Alobel empire, when a plot to kill the ancients of the Alobel was unveiled nora was sent to slain the rebels, not knowing that the rebels had stolen a spell to seal a persons magic power from the ancients nora was ambushed and sealed by a eternal darkness spell, her days as a bounty hunter were over.
retired… alone she started to grow eerie inside and the hate was overwhelming, she pledged that one day she will vanquish all evil in the known land. blablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablabla.
summoned by the ancients nora was awarded a weapon capable of the speed of air and the strength of thunder also transmitting her the power to sense a foes electrical conductivity allowing her to see again :D.
