Sorry for the lack of posts lately. It seems I have to move in the next few days now, so I haven’t had any time to work on it. :frowning: . I’m going to try to finish, but its hard to tell if I can stay in it anymore :frowning: .Anyways, here is an updated sculpt image. I changed proportions in his body to give him more presence in his body.

I added a strap on his chest, and put a little piece of armor on his shoulder.

Here is another update! :smiley: . I have updated the weapon. I think the new weapon has a little stronger presence than the previous. And he only has one on his back now rather than two ( I guess I’m supposed to only have two total right ?)

I changed the weapon again. I am also trying out some different designs. Still havn’t picked what the final one should be. The clothing is different as well.

Ok… it’s going to be Invoker // earth/rock.

The character comes from a desert tribe on the far east of the planet. To protect his village he has developed the power to alter the earth through the spear he wields. By thrusting it into the ground he has the ability to cause earthquakes as well as bring up rocky barriers from under. Due to his good hearing, he can detact enemies from far distances away. In combination with his hearing, and the use of his artifact, he can effectively crush enemies in advance, or if need be, protect his village through use of barriers.

Any critiques or comments? I am still unsure with what exactly he should be wearing, or what type/style of weapon he should carry.

I think he should have a massive spear to give off contrast and show some earthy attributes using cloth or skin. Cheers buddy

very nice character design kieran, it feels very graceful. To that end it doesn’t strike me as incredibly ‘rock’ attuned, I’d almost go with air or something a bit more fluid in keeping with the sleek design (which I wouldn’t alter, I love the build and the ears!).

If he’s attuned to rock though, it would help with his ability to hear enemies from far away… sensing vibrations in the earth so to speak :slight_smile: Maybe keep him barefoot to that end, so that he always has contact with it, but add light armour along his arms and torso so that you don’t lose that agile look.

Your character is very elegant but he looks abit more aquatic then of the vegetation type because of his streamlined appearance. Maybe add more to him that indicates that he’s more ‘earthy’, etc. His spear could use some stylization too like vines twisting around the pole of the spear, etc. I like his build adds more to that elegance. You’re off to a good start.

Louis: thanks! Yea, i’d like to have some kind of huge spear, or huge swordish type weapon.

Aishath: thank you :slight_smile: Yea, I guess right now it does not seem very much “rock” … I like the idea of air elements with what the current design looks like.

Stacy: thanks :slight_smile: If I stay with using the rock/earth type elements, that is a good idea to incorporate that more into the weapon than what I have done. I guess I need to decided whether to stick with rock/earth, or switch to something else.

I still need to flush out my design more, especially his weapon, and any accessories that he will have. Let me know any suggestions if you have any.

I love the look of him! He looks so innocent and fragile. On one hand I like the simple spear as it is, but on the other hand it would also look cool if it was almost grotesquely huge and ellaborate.

I like number 9 because his wings and weapon look like scythes hinting more to his earth type.

I lean towards 2,8 or 9 or variations of those shapes as well. Something assymmetrical and still of enough size to convey mass that he could swing to great effect. Do the shapes on his back need to be the same as his weapon (or am I missing the point, are they representative of the weapon when he’s carrying it on his back)? Could they be other shapes of weapons/implements that you could add variety to the design with? For example, something along the lines of a projectile weapon for ranged attacks could be slung over his shoulder. Just throwing out ideas :slight_smile:
