ronert thornely, sorry to hear about your bad luck, but come on man, you gotta finish in time. I’ve already finished the low res model, it’s the first thing I did.

jasonjuta, into the buckle area, I’m putting the cg society logo. And the rim between his belt and abdomen is part of his loin cloth. I better revisit it to make sure that reads.

I’ve been working on the texture, almost done. Haven’t generated the normals yet though. I’ll try and post an update tonight.

Thanks alot dmightyone:) , yeah I’m just blasting through with the rest of what I have to do, just to get it done on time.

Here’s an update. Been working on the texture, this is just the diffuse on the high res. Still need to make the alpha for the cloth, spec, ao, normals…:cry: . And I havn’t even started texturing the artifact yet :cry: :cry: .

looking good kem, i think thats definitely one of the top sculpts in the whole dw3. fingers crossed you get him done for sunday.

i’m all done now thankfully, took me till 3am tho’. gotta go out to drink champagne now to celebrate. well we’re actually celebrating shanna’s birthday but secretly i’ll be tosting the completion of dw3!

thanks for helping me with the pose yesterday. i did another walking pose for the beauty shot which i think looks cool too.

Hey Kem,
well done mate. He looks really cool, good texture job. I can’t generate the transferred maps, my home pc crashes with the high res mesh so I’m out now. Will try and finish at work some time this week but well done for all your hard work. He is reallky something to be proud of and am sure will do really well. Fingers crossed now!

nice work dude, I love the sculpt, if only I could get my arms to look like that - my real arms I mean, not my DW characters. but you knew that.

And you MUST post a little animation too, just so we can all drool because he looked so awesome when you showed him to me moving around. the flesh looks real!

This is really cool man!
I love the way you’ve presented the low, high, normal. looks full of character, aggression and …dominance!

I’m glad we both finished in time, it was a damn struggle and next time i’ll make sure I sort a schedule out.

my eyes feel like they’re set back a whole inch - I can see my eyebrows and cheek bones at the same time.

he looks awesome and much cleaner without the black markings, the normal map shows up much more. the poses are really great too.

I agree with nathe mate, get some anims :bounce: up man, he will look even more dominating.

really glad you got him done in time.

I like the hands and the feet, the pose CBB and the eyes to. over all its pretty cool. also in the future I would recomend a pedistal that is more striking and matching the characters stature. Good on your for finishing.

nathanmckenna: Thanks. yeah I just about finished. I found myself sweating at the last few hours trying to put together my submission sheets.

darren white: Thanks, haha, I was gonna tweak the texture and the black markings, but I just ran out of time. I never got the chance to just sit back and look at my finals, and make changes. I rushed to finish off all the sheets in the last couple of hours:banghead: .

QuantumPixel: Thank you. I had so many things planned for the pedestal, I wanted it to look realy cool and different. I just didn’t have enough time. So unfortunately I had to go with a cylinder:cry: , and I’m not happy about that at all. I took a look at your entry, great model, and a realy dynamic pose.

Yeah I definitely want to animate my model. The rig is basically finished, I just need to do some blend shapes for facial animtion. But I’m gonna take a little break first, I was realy tired towards the end of DW3.
Here’s a little test I did (not sure if it’s worth posting), it’s not an animation, just a test of the skinning. Still needs some tweaking, and the belt isn’t done yet.
