Working on a new weapon design,

new updates befor taking into zbrush!
tri count altogether is 8,250

a few changes to the original design !!:shrug:

z brush the chest plate, might make some changes later. also i have done the head but i think that it needs a little more tweeking so anyway here is the armor!:shrug:
need to add battle damage to it now e.g. scratches,cuts dints est!

made some changes to the armor and sword plus added that jugement book idea that will have the CG logo on it!

progress work so far :shrug:

done if not nearly all the normal mapping still need to do the wings but most of that will be done via “crazy bump”
also need to do the main belt.

Hope to start texturing tomorrow in CS3 and a bit with particle illusion some ware!

I am really enjoying your work on this things are nice and cleanly made! I am worried that your getting a little carried away with the stencils on the armor. Kinda randomly placed it seems in some places? That said I really like it keep it up.

The low poly is looking pretty cool. I think I agree with Death Ninja regarding the stencils on the weapon.

Thanks I figured this out when normal mapping it might have been a little carried away in Photoshop with alpha maps!:shrug:
So I’m re-editing the chest plate, plus I didn’t like the sword handle anyway so remaking that!
Ill will update that soon!

So much to do and so little time!

the main character textured still messing with lights just now need to do the sword and then the final render!
Also the sword has been compleatly redesigned but that will be revealed when textured:shrug:

hey nice! you did a good job on this one man, although i think the background is messing whith the whole composition a little bit and taking the focus out of the character, i’d keep the background as simple as possible. also i think you should lighten up the torso a little bit cause right now i cant really see whats going on there, it’s a little too dark. other than that it’s all great, keep it up!

Was a lot of fun but next year need to come up with a mind blowing idear!
Something not human! Sound even more fun can’t wait! :drool:

A year’s worth of entrance Zbrush training and learning new max tips should sort that out as I love learning new things and this compo has taught me a hell of a lot! So thanks to everyone and good luck to you all!:smiley:
