Neat designs. I like the shape of the blade in #2 best - the curved blade with a squared-off end is a really interesting silhouette. The double blade in 2 is nice, but I’m not sire how it would actually function - maybe it would beed some more joints and hinges so they could separate? #5 is really cool, but feels a bit large for this guy. And #4 has no curve and no flow, just doesn’t feel elegant like the others. Seeing your character in action, he needs more flow!

#32

Thanks for your input Walrus! I thought 2 and 3 are the strongest as well. Thanks again, and keep those comments coming :).

#33

Great job so far! I can see its coming along nicely. I like the blades from 2 and 3 as well and it would be interesting if you could play with the large ones from both and maybe combining them making one of the two smaller and maybe reversing the direction they curve in a couple variations.

#34

Here are just a few ideas for my character pose. Let me know which pose you think captures the character best. Thanks.

#35

Looking cool man! I like the third one the best.

Waylon

#36

like the camera angle of the second one, but overall i agree with FistofGod…3rd is best

#37

Thanks for the feedback everyone!

Andrei- Thanks Man! :scream: I think 2 or 3 is the direction I’m taking with this one. I’d better move on to the final pose.

FistOfGod- Thanks again for your feedback Fist! So you think 3 has more to say for the character? I agree.

DaezD- Yea I’m leaning towards 2 or 3. I also like the angle on two but 3 would certainly be more impact full.

aww your stuffs all fancy and pro haha i wish i was so organized :frowning:

i like the first one, id like to see the bullet go perfectly straight, then it would look cool and designy and that matches your style and character i think.

the last one has potential, but the way the arms are bent dont make me happy haha the others seem so natural and flowy. when i look at his arms i make the sam face he does haha
try looking at mike ?mangolia? haha the hellboy guy. hes good at those jump poses makeing them look natural and diffrent.

#39

Hey thanks for the comments Flork! Rest assured, the bullet will fly streight on the final render :D. Yes the arm on 3 is just slightly bent heh. Thats more to do with my hasty application than anything else. Although I have to admit I don’t mind the slight bend as it is. Thank again!

Number 3 is best. Love the action shots in #12 ! Very awesome!

#41

I like the number 2. Keep it up!

#42

hmm difficult to see what are the best moods for him between 2 and 3:hmm: but I will go with 3 since has better view for interest of his design , although as for action 2! hahaha!:wip: So I will incline to any of this depending in what you are trying to aim best!

#43

Here is the latest pose image. I’ve also added the modeling and concept sheets at the top of the thread.

#44

haha i like that you made the logo a tattoo on his head! haha CGSOCIETY FOR LIFE! HAHA

#45

Hows that for gangsta?! :scream:. I thought that would be a cool idea from the start. Glad you like it Flork .

This came out great, nice work! I love his expression in the action shot, and am really glad you included the aniamtion frames on the bottom of the concept sheet, they really work nicely. Good luck in the judging!

#48

Hey Rares, cool final image, and really interesting approach to the concept. Nice work! and the best of luck mate!! Time for well deserved cold beers!! Cheers!!

#49

Walrus - Thanks! The action shots helped round out the concept sheet and were well received so I couldn’t leave those out.
