I’AM BACK!! my *#^$@ computer is better than ever but I still don’t know if Im gonna finish my work , by the way why Dominance pge says 16 days left? anyway this are the four tails of the summoned monster the first two are the heavy guys, the strong guys but the one on the left dosen’t like quite much the fat guy, the other two are the crazy, quick guy and the boss or leader,

I don’t think the summoned beast are going to appear on the winning entry, they would distract too much the eye from my main character, I think they will only appear on the thumbs sheet, I haven’t post this yet but in the final concept for the dual swords they have the portal on the bottom and the blade is divided on 3 parts each part with a symbol and when he cross the blades matching the same symbol from the tip to the bottom he will summon a shield, wings , and some kind of wave attack, the finl sheet could be the guy crossing the blades and summoning his wings. what do you guys think I must do?.

haha i dunno man, i think the very first design on post one its the best! its cool and to the point. seems like you (like me) are trying to cram to much cool stuff into one guy haha and i think the very first guy is all the cool yah need ;-D

believe me The Flork is not that complex, I know that you come to my thread and see too many different ideas but this is what it really is:

Race: Dragon(a wingless dragon borned on a winged warrior dragons society)
Class: Invoker
Element: Summoning
Artifact: dual swords(creates a portal to summon a final attack beast, and have other summoning powers for one on one fight.)

I want him to look like a boss at least a middle boss so he cannot have only one attack, that would be too easy and borring.
I like the first sketch too but then oder ideas came and ended up on this, I am sooo emotionally attached to this idea that it would be impossible for me to change it right now, thanks for your comment, maybe you are right but is too late.

I think the heavy guy from the left has a more bossish look to him than the boss himself to be honest. He just looks much more respectable

Ok, I upload everything at work so I have to bring all the stuff on usb driver I brought the wrong file this wasn’t finished yet but what the hell I’ll post it as a WIP
on the finished art he is crossing his swords and summoning wings
Sorry if I didn’t put him on a more exciting pose but I didn’t have enough time to make another one so I used the same file I posted on page 2
I really like the final job, because this is actually the first time I finish something on PhotoShop I’ll post it tomorrow

Lookin good man! one thing to be carfull about is his belt spike strap things, look like their connecting to the tail. and i think it would be cool if the hair was longer and stringy and hung off the long neck.

other than that lookin pretty cool! :smiley:

Definite improvement on the color, and I’m liking the dude overall.

Only nitpick I guess its worth mentioning is the CGSociety logo. Try putting it higher on the robe in order to make it stand out more

QuantumPixel Yeha he is my favourite too but he wont appear on the final sheet only on the modelling one it would be too much info for one piece maybe I’ll paint him and his buddies just for fun after the WAR

Thanks The Flork you are right about the spikes but I already fix that up on the final version I think I’ll try the longer stringy hair tip that would definetly make him look better

Mogardo Iam glad you liked it about the logo I’ll have to check it out cause I don’t know if the blades would cover it if i put it higher thanks anyway

Hey hope the computer it’s not giving you to much trouble!:sad: I think you can do it! :wink: You are doing great with the colors, I like the tale improvements, and the logo looks great were it is, in my opinion, those wing are so wicked! They look so powerful and I like the yellow glow although will be good to see them doing some damage to the floor, just to play more with the environment, suggestion of course. The hair looks a bit shaggy but it’s not over yet so no comments about that for now …hehe ooh! The glow in eyes will good if they left some spec yellow ghost , from were he turn his head! :shrug:

thanks alex for the feedback I think I’ll try the fade glow on the eye sounds cool but about my computer I think I don’t need it anymore the rest is up to me but I only have time to draw on weekends so I am going to skip work tomorrow :twisted: and finish this on the morning cause I study at night I am not going to give up at this point, but please don’t tell my boss.

Hey Jorge … hahahaha … perdón por no haber hecho un analisis profundo de tu concepto :D, espero no estes molesto ya que escribiste con mayusculas… y eso me confundió un poco :smiley:

About your composition, I think you need to open a bit your canvas to play wit the forms of the wings without cut out through the canvas. Perhaps more rim light and back lighting over your character to popup a bit more. The background dont need much contrast to gain deep and dont fight with your charcater, only a comment. I hope you have time to finish your concept ( I like a lot your concept :D) … and I in the same problem like you :slight_smile:
