Its really progressing well, man. I almost forgot that you were making this character a summoner, so normally I would say the design for the actual summon probably should have started when you were working on the character so they could develop simultaneously.
However I really like the first concept of the two summons (a pair with one defensive specialtist and one offensive specialist is an excellent idea). The second doesn’t grab me so much - simply because of what you are doing with the summoner himself. Your character already has such a savage appearance that for him to summon a ferocious beast like your second design just seems unnecessary…
Which kind of brings up an issue with your character’s design. You want him to be a mage/summoner type, but it really seems like all the visual elements you are leaning towards the prototypical Fighter/warrior look. I think one of the trappings of the contest having us choose from a class system is that the character should actually look like its class. To just design a warrior and just tell people that its actually a mage or summoner kind of gives the impression that the designer is trying to have his cake and eat it too. I think the main point of Dominance War isn’t to come up with a character that looks like it could genuinely be the most powerful character in the lot, but a character that is a truly creative design that pushes a unique concept despite the constraints of the rules.
In respect to that, I think suggestions like Walrus’ of giving him more clothing to create a stronger look of civility - a trait that one would commonly associate with a summoner or wizard - would really help your design. It may seem like more work to start on a more elaborate outfit for him at this point (I haven’t even started on the clothing for my guy yet), but you might also find the savagery of your character’s design could spark a really interesting contrast with elegant or perhaps even regal clothing design.
The deadline’s closing in fast, so I don’t know how much my input is worth now, but I at least gotta say this is looking fantastic, and no matter what direction it takes I cannot wait to see this guy in final design!

. The colours look great. Again, really great work and looking forward for more updates. Cheers mate!
