Flork- i altered her proportions a little… not too exaggerated now i think :confused: Keeping in mind about the fins/horns, thanks! (noticed btw, that you’re from AAU? :))

Hmm, lots to choose from. i like the dark blue background better than the light tan - the former feels like you put in a dark background, while the latter feels like you didn’t get around to a background. And the dark colros set a ncie mood. Overall I like the top row best, before you got itno wild colors. The red on the far right pops really nicely against the blue.

The one comment I have about the figure is that the upper thighs and hips feel far too large for the rest of the body. They don’t necessarily need to be scaled down. I suspect that even just lengthening the midrift section, pulling the upper body away from the pelvis, would look really coola nd deemphasize the scale difference.

OKay… Here’s a little update which i honestly am not very happy with. I’m starting to divert from my original idea. Worse still, i’m wondering why i chose this direction to begin with… But all in all, i joined the war to have fun and i did, and i would still like to get this done to the end!

What do you all think? Any feedback is appreciated!

Walrus, thank you. Your comments were invalueble, all taken into account. I also went for the third on the top row as you mentioned, and worked my latest color (test) from that…though… argh. I’m feeling a little blinded now, gonna take a break.

i actually liked the cgs colors on your chick! the one with black hips and red legs.

but this ones cool too! more astral plain-E feeling.

i might ad some longer tenticals on the right to keep the s curves going!

The pose is really beautiful, I really don’t know how people like you handle poses like this that just looks natural despite it’s somewhat complicated positioning. If you get what I mean. ;p You are a little too hard on yourself some times, I feel. Take it easy and seriously, worry less! Chiiilll. As for your original idea, I think you can still go back to them when you get the time to. :slight_smile: Not for this war, though. Perhaps get more prepared for the next war.

I don’t suppose this is done yet? I’m rather liking the background and those effects you have created for the background characters. A great addition to it because I kind of am getting the feel of how the character would actually be like if in a game/ movie. I would really like to see this gets more refined though, in the sense of materials and form. As well as the light direction and the like. I think the blue around her (background) can be toned down a little more so she don’t seems to blend into it… Either that or she can be a little more brighter, bring out the contrast ! :slight_smile:

Edit: I changed the bottom area a little…tweaking the flames a little. Will post later.

Flork- Thanks for the comment, and yep, i did add a couple more tentacles. Went for the blue-red thing in the end :slight_smile: I’m hoping the fire pops now!

The earlier wasn’t the final, just posted the final :slight_smile: I did keep in mind what you said from the beginning, wanted it to look like it’s in a scene…though i didn’t pull it off completely with time constrains. Did kick the values and colors and such…and my main focus at a point was to pull of that fire/lava inside her body. I sure hope it’s much better now… Though i definitely don’t want to get into a war with 5? 6? days left at hand like this again.

I’m gonna beat you into starting early next year so you don’t have any regrets on last minute work again. :expressionless: Regardless, YES you should be proud of yourself for finishing this in time. :slight_smile: And whatever happens next doesn’t matter, the fun of it is what does it. Though aim higher next time, you are only stepping into the water for now.

Darn…guess i missed all the action. Mr. Faiyar Antsu? we meet him up quite often these days…for dinners and such…there was a night that me him and haozilla went out for dinner and we talked a lot about um…stuff. Tell you when i see you next month. KK back to DW…your entries are awesome(nothing new)…I love the presentation on your model and concept sheets…so cleeeaaannn… gosh. As for the final, im glad you made it(but) . Well done… Loving the colors, very hypnotic but i do think the skull thing that shes holding on her left arm is not quite clear… maybe it’s just me…but you know how i suck at giving comments and feedbacks so… Thumbs up!! :wink:

Yay! you made it , her power its so awesome! and the hues of light look great for fire! all her design add so much in her besides the color ( that’s great)! I really like it all ,and like you said the best part of this it’s to finish! :applause:

Time was a factor too, of course u_u Yeah, i’m very happy i got it done at all… i thought i’d be disappointing myself by not joining the War…but i actually made it to the end, and it is an incredible reward, that feeling of accomplishment :slight_smile: Though… i admit i would not have done this design as the final given more time, if i could turn back time.

AxelAlonso- Thank you. I tried really hard to push the fire idea, and i’m hoping it ‘pops’ a lot more now, to make her fire element obvious :slight_smile:

Calyx! its a job well done!! dont be so hard on yourself, im very sure time was a huge huge factor so just gettint it to the finish line is a big thing…I know what its like ;). Even like Bakat Baru…you know.LOL I know, you know its not your ultimate best coz we’ve seen you done stuff thats phenomenal… I have my reasons for saying that too, its not just a praise ;D… Anyway, this is very good already you know. *poke
