Well, here is another little update. I’m really stuck on this “dog from hell” stuff…still trying get the right design. Some things that I already notice:
Tell me what you think, would bee nice have a little feedback right now
Thanks again!

I really am liking the four-legged version. I think he looks the toughest, but also more pet-like than the humanoid version. For the head it is a tough choice. I definitely like the chain collar and head-gear of B anf F though.
I think C and F versions of the head are the best.
I like the headgear idea and the four leg version
loving this idea…great concepts
I like dog head D with the bottom right dog pic…the one with armour plating up the back.
Just one minor niggle. The dog is so aggressive looking and vicious. Then you have an upset fat puppy laborador for her shoulder armour. It looks great on her as it suits the kid/cute style but it doesnt reflect the beast. Just a thought.
I like rotting style with D or E but I wonder how a girl with a clean outfit will fit in with a rotting dog? I’m interested to see the two characters combined, cheers.
Thanks for the feedback guys!
Stinger88: I totally agree, the shoulder pad is one of the things that I’m still working. ![]()
Loukor: yes, I think the same way. Some modifications are on the way.
I’m already working in new dog version, updates soon as I can! thanks again!
Hey Vinicius, amazing work my friend, really like all of the sketches and is difficult to take a decision :D. I like the four legs version of the “puppy”
and the rotting style… woooww cool !! and love the “D” expression. Incredible work!!. Looking forward for more updates. Cheers my friend!! and many beers and tequila shots !!
wow, you got some great varsatitlity going on here! Love everything so far, so I am just gonna watch your porgress!
The boomerang is a great artifact idea!
I’d vote four legged (the beastiest the better), rotting (just neat, and it fits the story),
with ‘a’ head (the protuding chin looks cool. I also ptreffer skelletal nose over the fleshy one). but anyway it’s goin real well. Maybe a fragment of a big broken chain could hang from his neck. I dont know…
Looking good!
I think the last dog concept is looking to lizard or beast like. Getting kinda far removed from a canine. I liked the previous drawings for the dog. Perhaps no horns though, maybe large spike collar or something? Pet vs Pet or Summons vs Summons characters or battles will usually have a beast biting another beast, a dogs weakness is usually the neck, so maybe neck armor or something so other beasts/pets cant bite it or hold it there?
This is pure fan. I like the concept of the girl, the monster, and her artifact, the most original, so far. Wann see more. See ya.

Amazing stuff here. Your concept is among those that got me trying the challenge too :). I agree with Maddog-CP, i’m not too big a fan of the horns, cause they get you too far from the dog (though the color rendering is beautiful). In your sketches, for instance, you already tried horns, but since theirs shape looked like dropping hears, it worked. here it’s too “goat -like”, if i may say.
As to how to enrich the dog, I thought you could have elements relating either to the accident (something that went through the dog’s body still there or bruised or broken parts) or to the burrying by the girl (like a broken wooden cross with the puppy’s name painted on it by the girl hanging from the chain round his neck for instance). hope this can help
. I can’t wait to see the final piece.
Thank you guys for the feedback! I’m not sure about the horns too…but its part of my process, test some things for while and see if I liked or not. So, let’s keeping working:)
thanks a lot!
What about keeping the horns but adding ears (like a bull’s head, which has both… well, actually, any creature with horns also has ears (except your dog.)
Overall, this is looking really nice, Vincius! I always like your crisp rendering, and I kinda like that he’s not just a hairy dog. Thje mouth is especially nice. I also love those spikes growing out of his back, and would love to see you take that texture further. I like Alcino’s idea about making him have some tie to his demise.
One crit I have is the proportions of his hand-legs in the color render. in the upper-right sketch they look a lot larger, and I think that shape works better.
cheers!
