robert thornely, EvilSimon , Muflon, The Flork ,Veles — Thanks guys, i’m very appreciate you help and choices, will be keep them in mind when will build final character.

Ok guys, here is wings design. So let me you thoughts about all including wings and i’ll start to finalize this work and visualize winning pose and character layoute. For sure wings lenght will be big to bring angel to the sky:)

#63

SO any advices regarding wings?

#64

I like concept 6

#65

And i like concept 6

#66

Ill have to say number one or number 4 that is my favourite, because they fit more with your clown concept, the stars all sewed up are a twisted touch and very clownish they could be made wih the flesh of his victims and you could also add them other clown patterns
number 1 the faces could be faces with different forced sewed expressions and painted like clowns, this options are also more practical cause wings have to be light and I really don’t think he could fly with the corpse of his victims hanging from the wings or with those skulls
number five there is nothing particular about it, number 6 is very cool but I don,t see the connection with the character. well thats my opinion your character is great by the way

Good luck

#67

Thank you guys a lot!
Gyorkland Thank you a lot! i’m totaly agree with you about #4 and #1, and that #4 especially connect good with head design #2, and yea its good idea make start from the face of his victim! Thanks for idea!
I like #6 too, and it was my favorite first time, but i think should choose between #1 and #4. WIll think:)

#68

I like face variation number 5 best. wings #5 and 6, bow design #2 and 3. I think you need to kepe the evil clown, sinister spawn idea in everything he does. Make sure the pose of the bow actually works with this characters attitude. from the story he sounds fast and deserves a sword but i think you can make it work with a bow just dont make him look to heroic.

i did a few sketches for you for fun. just for my own pleasure but feel free to use anything from them if you want

Wow!:)) Cool poses conepts! Thanks a lot!
Please look at first page of my thread, there are action poses, i like 3 from first row and 3 from second row, do you think they can be used?? One pose from your sketch looks similar too. For sure i will add more action in lines. But any way, what you think?

Btw, thanks for you opinion, it very useful! Its my first character development porcess so i try to do it correct. Btw, i’m still dont sure if i can do sitted position for winning pose, in rules there are standing pose as i see, am I wrong?

#70

ya i did see your first ones and i agree that a standing pose might not win. This is why I am attempting to try to make mine stand out in some way. bright colors, crazy action. I think you really need to make yours stand out. Make something about it unique, dynamic and dramatic. This is why the bow to me doesnt work the best because its quite elegant compared to the personality of the character. if he is a clown maybe you should do something with that in mind. look at what jesters do and use and try to make something from that into a great impressive weapon or attack. then render that action maybe.

OK, here is couple poses i did, one like his just fly out from his tech victim and going to make else one shot and another where his fly reay to make a shot like a eagle when going to kill his victim. Had try to do it more dinamical and clown like. Something like this?
Just curious about second because its not in full weight.

#72

do what you like best at this point. just take into account what i said. be smart about it but also have fun with it!

#73

hey, I like your poses but theres too much focus on the wings and not on the rest of your character, I think?! especially nuber 2, you’re not going to see much of his body at all!

maybe look into some more dynamic angles and poses, such as archangel / angel pictures from x men or something like that?

just some ideas…!

#74

I think that the pose for the winning entry is very important it should tell the personality of your character but I think it dosen’t have to be to complex, remember that the contest is about creating a character not a complex scene, have you seen the winneres of the past dominances?(check out the page) the characters on the final entry are just standing there but you get to see all the details , I think thats what the judges want to see, remember that the others 2 images are in monotone so the final is to see the character full color, Im not saying that you have to make it simple I m just saying that your character have to be the main subject on the final art .
Good Luck!

naitgrey
Yea, agree, but in requirements of this contest i should show full figure, it means and wings to, show just closed wings are boring. Btw #2 its just as sample, i think #1 is more acceptable, may be rework wings a little, or as you adviced make some else agnles. May be just stading and shooting.

Gyorkland

Yea, i have seen past dominance winners and yea they are just plain standing figures. But my idea it’s to bring more emotion into pose not just poor stading character. I think i should find gold middle and show emotion and show details:) Regarding color i know, just here try to balance dark and light forms.

Thanks guys for you advices!

#76

the number 1 wing is the best!

#77

Sup my friend, I choose number 1 wing… looks very clownish yet it shows off some omen vibe.

#78

Well, was looking today at x-man series of angels. At all of them main part are wings, but we still any way looking at character, because wings big but in same time simple and dont get our attetion. May be do same here. Will think. Btw, wings a part of character too, and we should see details on the wings too as good as on the body.
Also in x-men series there are sometime wings dont fully show and from this reason we look at body of character again, but here as i understand we should show all right?

The Flork,Loukor
Thanks!

#79

I would also say no.1

Thanks!

OK, guys, so i have did some poses research, and select best as i think so now i need to choose best from what i have selected, for sure in the final i will rework it a little for all will be clear.
I have asked Fred on GA and he had say me that sitting pose will be acceptable too.

So here is some variants, let me know which you think show good expression and also possible to show all details and etc. I especially did wings to be viewed from both sides here:)
Here it is:
