DViewPaint II

#8

Unfortunatly, creating a generic rig for a public release takes a lot of time. Since I don`t have to much time to work on stuff like that lately I am giving you something that takes less time to create : DViewPaint II : to keep you happy while you are waiting :wip:

#9

Where can DViewPaintII be downloaded?

Cheers.

DViewPaint II will be available on the DTools page :: http://www.EricDLegare.com/DTools

But right now it`s still not publicly available yet, I will release a public beta as soon as all the features are done :wip:.

  • Layer management ( layer creation, removal, visibility ) DONE !

Also posted the first DViewPaint II screenshot

It`s been a busy weekend at work so the toolbar is the only update this weekend

But it`s slowly starting to look good ( the Icons are not the final icons ).

So I have started working on the ghosting

So now when you have some ghost displayed they have less opacity than your drawing so they actually look like ghosts : yay !

still working on the keyframes as well…

Uou man,

I have a question! is possible to have the animation, that I made in the tool, on the Beautifull render?

and Thank you for this tool =)

See you!

#18

Yes DViewPaint II is able to render your animation to a file or a reference plane in your scene

#19

This is looking good! Can’t wait to try it out!

Great! But i run into a little bug, when running the script is stops and gives me an error:

>> MAXScript FileIn Exception: – Compile error: Unable to create copy/move destination directory: C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2010\scripts\DTools

If I run max as administrator it does work, so I think it a rights issue. ( I’m running max2010, vista64 )

and the ‘create/cancel’ buttons on the ‘new animation’ window are empty.

But I got it running in the end  this will be a very handy tool for making previews with annotations, plotting out small animations or even a todo-list  Thx for making it!

Hey there, I just tried out DviewPaint II v0.25 on max 2010

for the first I’d like to give you thumbs up on this fabulous plugin

one thing I’d think you should consider on including in it is when you render an .avi file from the plugin it would be nice if you could choose a compression before rendering to .avi as the files tend to be very big.

for example I tried it with an animation of 4 sec, 25fps, 862 x 504 = 167 MB and windows media player wasn’t very happy with that

normally I render preview files from max using “Lagarith codec” which produces small file without discarding picture quality

else it’s almost like animating in flash  great work!!

regards

T

You are right, this has been a problem since DViewPaint 1, to fix this I was rendering the images and sending the sequence to the ram player so the user could save in the format they want, but there was some problems with the ram player too so I am back to the beggining for the rendering process…

Dont worry, its just the beta, to gather important feedback like yours, “Saving renders to different compressions of AVIs and even MOVs” is on my todo List.
