DVDs for beginners?

#1

Sorry if this is a really common question, but I haven’t had much luck finding answers. I am very new to the fine arts and struggling to get started. What I figured is that drawing the human figure would be the best place to start, but I really am having a lot of trouble.

Are there any dvds out there that walk beginners through drawing, and ending at a semi-decent level? Something like http://the-structure-of-man.blogspot.com/ . I was hoping that there is something better than that out there. I almost ordered it until I read that it was for PC only, and I am a Mac user.

Really, any help at all is appreciated.

Try Glenn Vilppu’s DVDs, in particular his Gesture DVD.

the industry, I am a mac user and currently on lesson 51 of the structure of man - it is the possibly the best video training course on drawing currently available. Riven is truly an amazing teacher!

download windows player for mac (osx or os9) and you will be able to play the videos
i hope that helps.
