I’m kinda new to art and CG as well and I have some real Copic Markers at home that blend only if you are fast enough to use the 2nd colour before the first colour is dry.
I also have a program called Sketchbook Pro 7 from Autodesk that has CG Copic markers in it as well as Photoshop and i’m also thinking of getting Corel Painter.
I can’t find an answer for this after tons of google searches over the last few weeks. Do CG programs (Corel Painter Lite in particular) simulate paint/ink drying? I know when it comes to markers there are times where you want to use the 2nd marker while the first is dry but also sometimes when its wet because the results are different.
Trouble is being new by the time i’m done on the first colour assuming the program simulates the drying process i’d be so slow I couldn’t blend. But on the flip side if the program doesn’t simulate the ink drying so its wet 100% of the time it would be impossible to do what real markers do when you do it on top of dry ink.
Theres not too many websites for art/CG online that I can find and the ones I can find like CGsociety seem to cater to artists that can make things that look better than whats in most museums i’ve seen. Can’t find any for people like me who have only done a few drawings looking to get started so i’m kinda hoping the questions not too noob to be validated or I may never find anyone to answer it.
