Ever wonder what happens when you dream?
Gorgeous work, Philip. I love the detail in the coat and the color choices are wonderful.
The “hands” remind me of the branch hands given to the daughter in “Titus” (Julie Taymor’s version of Titus Andronicus) from a few years back.
I’ll be on the lookout for more of your works.
Great job.
“That ain’t nothin’ but the Shufflebutt!”
Well done indeed. I would imagine it took quite a long time to create this level of detail.
What resolution do you create this in? I assume you start large and then rescale later.
absolutelly nice background. nice fog. I really love the colours you use.
the coat looks dirty but i like it. ![]()
thanks for all the comments!
D.phoenix: Its a pretty large image. In case the image has a positive response, I always work print rez so I can do a limited edition run. The resolution is runny about 4000 x 6000
The details are actuallypretty suggestive and I was able to create the look of detail without actually spending to much time noodling things. It was fun to do for sure.

Really beautifull, my only crit is that I think the front of the image is a lil to light, especialy with the light source comming from behind, I also think the coat could be a lil more magical, like have some glowing runic items or somthing. But thats my opinion
Anyway as I said it’s really beautifull and very imaginitve!
Hey Thanks Rayder1:
My guess is the lightness of the figure is due to monitor variation…its pretty darn dark on my screen. I was definitely aware of the balancing out of the background to the foreground. I did think of the glowy bits too:) and opted to make her look more worn out for this version. I’ll do that on the next one. Thanks again!
Phil
