Hallo guys this is made two years ago and is my first animated short.

Very nice! I would love to see it posted in a different format so I could enjoy it full screen.

Hi Adrian,
Stunning special effects
especially the water. I love the lighting, atmosphere and the world youve created. However the animations could be tightened. For example, the plank would probably move a lot more in that shot where he is yawning (see how fast the water is moving). You probably need to work on the arcs and the spacing. However having said that, I think youve done a great job considering that youve did almost everything. These are just my suggestions and I might be wrong though. Keep up with the great work!
Thanks guys for your coments! I realy apreciate and for right now I think they are resonable!
Quite an enjoyable film I must say :applause:
I can really see how much time you must have put into this, congratulations on achieving a cohesive piece, which is visually pleasing.
I too think that animation could have been tighter, but I’m no animator, so can’t really pinpoint many things… you might have missed some ease-in/ease-out keys in some places though.
Loved the ambient you created in the forest, though it could have used a little better bump and diffuse maps in some places… but I’m just being picky
The character could have used some shadow inside its mouth, it’s relatively simple to fix and it’s a common error I see in many good short films… if you have the character uvmapped, just create a mask for the inside of the mouth and correct it in after fx or some other software… you coul even render out an ambient occlusion pass and mask it with the mouth mask…
I know this is a finished short, just saying things for future projects.
The sea looked quite good, but in some places it looked a little fractal-ish… limitations of water simulation maybe.
Just my 2 cents ![]()
Thanks Bleen, you are right but to do by itself altmos all the work its not so simple, this is a short made two years ago my first one,but I show you what I working right now.

Wow I really enjoyed the enviorments and the water effects! The character animation could of been a bit more smooth in some places though, other than that great work!
Good composition and editing! I particularly liked the scene as he/she floated away, music and tempo of shots was very effective!
I thought the lighting in the forest could’ve used more contrast between bright spots and shadow, and maybe more green and less tan… I also would have liked the main character to be of a similar style to the fish or ray creatures, as I liked them best.
But that’s just me over-analyzing…
Great job!
Thanks again for comments, there was alot to be improuved but now for me is a old project. But I am satisfied about the critics.
Lighting, texturing and animation seemed good.
1 crit:
The camera seems to be pushing and pulling (zoom feeling) too much and too quickly. Alot of the shots seem to be very unnecessary in telling the story. Every time the camera changes it forces the viewer to get their bearings on where they are viewing from and where the subject is located. This got a bit annoying.
Just my thoughts.
Thanks Blinxpro you are right about the camera movement but like I said was my first project and to study all the 3D I decide to make a short becoause a short contain everything, light, camera texture BG and special effects. On the atmosphere I work alot of time that maybe the others elements like camera I didn t do very wel.I fogot to specifie that project is made in one year only at nigth because in the day I am on the job.
