Drawing the features of the face?

#1

Hey everyone

I am trying to learn to draw all the different features of the face, and it is taking a while, so i was wondering if people could share, how they go about drawing things like eyes, nose, lips, and all the different techniques that they use??

Thanks for any help:bowdown:

Well I’m going to just tell you what helps me home in on features.
It’s to imagine more primitive shapes enveloping the features and putting those in proper perspective. Once that looks nice, just increase the amount of definition on the face :). Hope that helps.

Remember light and shadow. The head has five primary shadows that help from it, eyes, nose, top lip, bottom lip, chin/neck. Try getting those basics down and build up. Remember that eyes are in the centre of the head and how they relate to the ears.
