I’m using Maxwell renderer for Draenai WIP and i decided that i will use on final result also. I like the quite quick previews with nice quality and possibility change lightening while rendering. its just relaxing
But when i’ll prepare environment for her it will be more realistic for lightening and reflections.

Its a long time from first Draenai render. Some of old renderes are from brazil, MR but most of them are from Maxwell or Maxwell+brazil combination.

More accurately, first 24 pictures on frontpage in this thread are only Maxwell.

It seems like maxwell makes things look real? If i render that in mental ray with displacement and simple geometry it will look quite dull i bet. The moss texture must be really huge.

The moss on the stones are texture from photos with Maxwell displacemenet.

I agree, don’t listen. Alot of people would like to see everything perfect or have it there way. Just design as you dream it. =)

Maxwell has one of the best displacement. A lot of projects in my portfolio is from Maxwell.

Thank You for this thread, I’ve been watching for awhile. Amazing that you’ve stuck with it for so long, I know that you can work quickly seeing your other threads but really appreciate how carefully you have developed this character -It is a beautiful creature.

After checking in on this thread now and then for a very long time: Is there by any chance any plan of progressing the project further? It is already one of the most stunning pieces of artwork I have ever seen, and seeing it fully textured and lit in a proper environment would be beyond awesome indeed.
The armor pieces alone are amazing work, and I keep coming back to this thread again and again for inspiration.

She is about half year textured but i just don’t have enough time for this project. I’ll send old preview test in 30minutes.
