Wow you really put attention to details. You have a brain focused for sculpting.
Every time i made a character I always think⦠naaa this shoudlbe taken out I will model it later
while you seem to have the ability to focus on every single peace without losing the whole picture. really astonishing ! Please keep posting ! I hope to see this in the 3d still soon!
Draenei
I had to lift my jaw back in place as I scrolled through the images. Just superb! I look through these posts to gain inspiration but thereās always the danger that Iāll come across a post like yours that will show me how far I have to go.
Sorry I didnāt have anything constructive to say but I just had to add my kudos!
If u continue like that Denisaā¦iāll become verry frustratedā¦absolutely beautifull work u have
Is this project still ongoing Denisa? It would be such a shame to see such beautiful work unfinished.
Absolutely stunning work throughout, very inspiring.
Hey denisaā¦
really glad to see this model progressing⦠I canāt wait to see the final! Keep up the awesome work!
Yep technicly this work is very good.It would be interesting to know wich shaders do you use and are they even from 3D programās standarts?or somekind of special your/someone else created?
This has inspired me so much. Iām actually studying your topology right now!
I read that you were using MAX to create this, and Iām thrilled to know that because Iām three weeks into learning the program and have already started a few projects in it! Iām going to assume that a lot of those complex shapes were dealt with by using Splines? The Splines system in MAX completely blows me away. Iām coming in from Lightwave, so Iām not use to having this much flexibility, power, and a faster work flow!
All in all keep this going and post as many wires as possible! Thank you so much for sharing them with everyone!
Iāve been following this thread basically since you started it, and it is the most impressive thread Iāve ever seen, bar none. I honestly donāt know why Iāve never posted in this thread before.
the whole model is perfect in every sense. you made the character perfectly, she looks very strong and yet she isnāt female-bodybuilder weird looking, and she is very beautiful. the leather and cloth bits are unbelievable, in a sense that they are completely believable and look 100% realistic.
all of your objects have a real mass to them, they look like they are tangible objects instead of computer models, they completely trick the eye into thinking they are solid real life objects. this is especially noticeable the bracers I think, but all of your objects look like I could just reach into the screen and pull them into reality.
hmm, what else is there. I love the staff, concept done by Stone Perales, who Iāve looked up to since I started doing 3d, I used to use his concepts to practice modeling, one of those models included that same staff. if youāre interested you can contact him, or just check out his stuff at www.stonewurks.com.
Iām not really critiquing because in my opinion you can do whatever you want with this, Iām certainly not going to tell you what to do, it would be like my cat trying to teach me art theory. That being said, as far as warcraft goes, I probably know more about the lore than a lot of people that work at blizzard. and while your character, her clothes and the sword fit almost perfectly as to what I think a Draenei would look like, but regardless of how much I like it, the staff doesnāt fit as well. Draenei only exist as a separate species from the Eredar because they refused to accept the demonic power offered to them by Sargeras, but the staff looks COMPLETELY demonic, it was even designed as a staff for necromancers. Being a Draenei, if you want to give her a staff you might want to go a more priestly route as, chances are, being a female draenei, she would most likely be a priest.
anyway back to a little bit of praise before I finish. your sword is totally awesome, and in general, your textures are incredible.
this is the best looking project Iāve seen over multiple forums since I started 3d several years ago, and, if thatās you in your avatar and your profile picture youāre really gorgeous
if you donāt mind me asking, how did you go about making those leg wrappings? they look so intricate with all the overlapping, I imagine you planned out the overlaps beforehand, but how did you go about placing them so perfectly? And is it possible to see more wireframes of the leather/cloth bits?
To end this really long post, I thank you for being the reason this masterful piece of art exists, in all seriousness, it makes me happy just knowing that a project exists at this level of quality.
Thank you all!!!
Its very simple shaders from maxwellrender (2layer shader based on plastic shader) nothing special at all
Very long post, thanks that you finaly post in this thread
About the Draenai and why she looks like this. Iād like to make her more human than creature so iām creating her a little bit different than blizzard original concept.
Iāll send wrappings wireframes in next update.
Hi Denisa,
Iām sorry I wonāt be able to provide you with useful comments and can only give praise for your awesome work.
To be honest, looking at your model helped me shape mine out better, so thank you for the reference!!!
I hope and dream to be as good of an artist as you one day!!!
Excellent attack on detail on a subject that is purely fiction, you have truly brought it too life, at least in our eyes. Will follow this piece which is to grace the front pages for months.
oh my godā¦this is soooooooooo good
looks like photos
want to see more wireframe and texture maps
this is really something beyond awesome, i really hoped one day i can be like you and produce work like yours . Heehee. very good job indeed !
