You don’t believe any of the goodlooking pictures in that thread were actually real, don’t you?

WOW you system setup look amazing :surprised:
could you share the price tag?
Thanks 4th-Child. I’d rather not throw a price tag on everything (I keep trying to forget how much I’ve spent
)…and then if you add the software prices in…GEEESHhhhhh. I think I need an asprin.
this is the work space of My buddy Pierre and I at school after staying there for 6 days strait.

Man, remove that blanket or that monitor is going to fry
Your setup reminds me of the VFS bunkers
Ok, I’ll bite…here’s a pic of part of my currently messy (and let’s face it, eternally messy) little area:

there’s some other machines and misc. crap in other views, but really not fit for human consumption at the moment…when I get a break from work it’s time for some serious spring cleaning
This is my space. Probably one of the smallest one here. It’s an old closet. It now serves as my big computer hall (1.2 square meters). It’s not funny to move out and in too but when you sitting in the chair - everything’s fine…
And yes it gets quite warm in there when I render stuff. The computer have 7 fans and redirect the air upward (etc etc etc). Working temperature in the PC is about 25 degrees celcius.
In the fall I get a new computer with a 23" flat screen. Guess my girlfriend gonna love that piece in our living room since there is not enough room in the closet as you can see…

Tommy, that has to be the most masochistic workspace i’ve ever seen
the good thing is that all the time you basically stay focused on what you do since you have no possibilty to move around and therefore you don’t distract yourself… but anyway, WOW
My work space is fairly open, but the roof is low and there is almost no sunlight past seven in the morning. I’ll take a picture one day maybe, but if some of you saw it, you might cry because it’s a really depressing room. It’s so drab and ugly.
Wow Tommy, that sets off my claustrophobic streak just looking at it :surprised
Maybe you could add the door back and some red lights for a Das Boot/submarine movie computing experience
Good call on the 23 in the fall tho…I’m in theory adding a 22 this/next month if I don’t catch an elusive 24" on ebay…long overdue for some kind of new monitor hotness. I found my post in the other “show your computer” thread where I said I needed to get a new monitor last october. bah!
whoa… how do you do that?
put two monitors beside eachother and make them act as one??
i wana do that

Just purchase a video card with dual output support. Most offer dual monitor support this these days. I like the way Nvidia handles dual monitors better than ATI (just my preference though).
