Hi! Woah, it’s been close to the end, but finally I made it.
I decided to make this sculpture look like something metallic (the former matcap ossuary look gorgeous, but was perhaps too colourful and not that good according any lighting-settings).

This way I got the cgsociety-colours, grey and red, right into that stuff.

Still got much too learn in ZBrush.
etd382: only using one colour tune and makin’ it lookin’ that realistical, respect, gorgeous stuff.
zoox: you obviously made a really cute pet. Surely also one of my favs.

congratulation to everyone that has walk on this fantastic pathway, whats-ever the results may be, be proud of your self and the journey it self is much much more important than whether you made it in time or not; it is the experience that counts ;), now you know how crazy this competition can get, are you ready for next year? muahhaha!

i’ll be in it if time and schedule allows, and i hope to see many familiar faces and new ones in Dominance War V:: Apocalypse’s Apocalypse’s Apocalypse, muahhaha!

Good question. They never updated the mini challenges page for the pet portraits challenge.

I had mainly been watching that page to find out what the second challenge was going to be. May 15 came and went, and no update happened on that page, so I wasn’t sure what happened. It was really just blind luck that I came across the announcement here on CGS on day 1 of the second mini challenge.

still no news on the voting?

noper, no words about the voting date yet, if anything, on the date that everyone submitted their work, there was a ton of misplaced entries i.e, a cgsociety entry going into cgtalk.ru accidentally. So on the night when i talk to FredH, he had to move alot of entries around to their rightful places, give him sometime to set up everything, :wink: he did give a length date that the voting will be on june 3rd to the 7th, so most likely it will be later today or early tomorrow. I’ll keep an eye out for any voting updates and will update ya’ll once i hear the news too =D.

make sure you all vote when it opens, or god or some other superior beings of life-form/entity will kill the little’ kittens’ ;).

as regarding the voting system if anyone isn’t too familair as to how it works, dwinbotp on gameartisan gave a pretty clear explaination about it =).

well the results are out (on the link in the post above)… didnt make :(… but congrats to the three finalists. It was a good challenge but now its time to start preparing for next year.
