I designed this chest armor on the fly after Mike and I talked about potential designs. I think that adding hieroglyphs wil help a lot.

Im very close to finishing this high poly and should begin building the low poly today or tomorrow, work permiting. I Had to cut down the the divisions in mud box due to the fact that my computer could not handle very large amounts of polygons.

Ok here is the progress Tony has made on the Model, it’s coming along very good, We just need to clean up our normal map and then start texturing tonight… and we’re running out of time. No worries though, it’ll all come out nicely!

Nice job you guys! Hope to see it finished in time.Better fix that normal map otherwise your gona have a low poly with black nasty holes n such. Im hoping to see her positioned in quite a dynamic pose!

HMm I am no expert in low poly modeling (in fact my own entry is my first full body entry), but I think the face could be more optimized and possibly save some polys too. Good luck and keep up the good work! :thumbsup:

Thanks Yung, this is also our first low poly character. It’s been a good learning experience and I would like to work on the topo, yet time is a big issue right now and we’re trying to make the deadline.

Hey Guys, we’re working on the texture right now, and I’m having problems getting the GLOW MAP to work. I’m going through max and the net but havn’t really found anything very helpful. At the moment I’m using a lens effect but that just seems to be glowing out all of the geometry. Any help you could give would be great! Thanks!!!

Hey guys, here’s a texture update. We still have to do the base, and add lots and lots of details but it’s coming along. I’m still trying to figure out how to do the Glow effect so if anyone can help me with that it’d be great.

Here’s the latest, kinda doing a weird work around for the Glow but if anyone knows how to do the glow effect in max scanline or mental ray that’d be great!

Hey Guys, we turned in our final entry early early this morning. Changed up the winning pose some and got rid of the Glow map. I hope you all like it. I know that it was a great learning experience for me and Tony and we’ll be up for the next one. Good Luck to everyone and Congrats for everyone who finished!

For your 1st low poly, I think you acompilished a lot and am sure you learned much from this experience.
