G - Thanks. Starting on the high

caseofchill - Thanks. Lots to do and so little time

su - Appreciated

SeeR - Wow thanks. I think clearly Gav’s is ahead of mine. There is some amazing work coming out of this contest.

veedubb - Thanks. I was just looking at yours, I should have commented. Looking badass

ill_logic - How funny would that be, he comes in ready to rick and trips. Oh my

Starting to smooth out some of the metal and add damage and more details here and there. So far I have just done some of the chest armor area. Still not sure about the straps and the bar going over the shoulder pad, this will probably go soon. Also the cloths on the back are just an idea. Still not sure what is going to happen there, or the head for that matter. Thanks for the crits.

#65

More smoothed modeling and the beginning of a head test.

JBrophy Wins!..Fatality.

Looks cool dude

#67

this is looking really nice… only thing that bus me is the with of the toe area of the boot.almsot there

#68

G - hehe, thanks. Far from it though I fear

onelung - thanks. What bothers you about the toes?

Bout 80% done with the high poly not counting the head. Trying out a helmet idea. Thanks for the comments. Clock is ticking away fast. Good luck all.

#69

My jaw literally dropped when I saw this. Wonderful wonderful wonderful entry!!

#70

The helmet looks much better than the horns. Nice work!

#73

you better start texturing dude, you have way more detail than me and im freakin out!

#74

Nicely detailed!

#75

veedubb - Yeah, even with the deadline it will be tough as I am going on vacation for a week.

monkeyCorn - Thanks

Nothing to really show right now, just checkin my thread. All the high poly is done on my guy but the head and helmet now. I need to make a decision and go with it. I also have modeled and unwrapped the low poly but the head.

Also I did a quick render of the boot with the ripped normal,/diffuse/specular and AO map at 512.

#76

wow you got a lot of nice detail modeling. for crits i think the overall proportion is off. everything looks little rigid. the shape of the feet for example looks little too box like and its hard to set right foot apart from left. from the screenshot i can see 3 faces side by side in almost same plane. hope that helps.

#77

mashru - Yeah I totally see what you are saying. I am hoping once I rip my maps I can do a little fudging of the low poly model without too much distortion. Thanks

Well I am calling the high poly done. The head could be better but I have to move on. Weighing in at a mere 3.4 million polies it is time to move on. Thanks for all the hard crits and the nice words. Time to get my ripping and painting on.

#78

Nice man, I agree with you about the head, but overall nice job, keep it up!

#79

holy mother of… this is more than awesome!

#80

I shall not comment on your modeling skills, as I am jealous of it.

I think you should keep the head without the helmet. Might detracts from the face which currently is rather amazing. Great work and show us your textures
