P.S. What rendering engine are u using?
all images and movie were created in Maya 5.0.2 and rendered with mental ray. (stills with FG and movie without FG, just simple rendering with raytrace)

Excellent work. Modeling is fantastic, the beauty of the car really comes across well.
As many others have said the head and tail lights are fantastic.
A few minor suggestions though:

The chrome wheels need more to reflect IMO. Because the car is on a plain grey plane the wheels looks a bit flat and dull. I also think they are just a bit too reflective.

A bit of music (even dodgy music :)) would be nice on the video.
Overall excellent work.
Would you consider making a few desktop wallpapers ?
Black, red and yellow colour versions would be nice, and I use 2560*960 in case you’re wondering 
that´s just awesome dude, great work. just looked at the vid and it´s even better. :), can ya share with us how do you position the camera to get those nice angles.
could I achieve the same level of rendering using mentalray for max? how long did it take to render the whole animation?

this is really a great stuff, i’ve seen many cars but most of them can’t be even compared to yours, i was sick of those many same-dull-gi look cars
(you should know what i mean), yours is just perfect !
very nice etcher, what’s your shading network like for the car paint? if you dont mind. looks really awesome
about angles… its pretty simple. First i try to position camera to achive cool view. then create an animation (a little pan or dolly). after that position light planes (big white planes that reflects in car body) to accentuate car forms.
then do preview and if needed animate light planes so the cars looks cool in whole animation.
about mental in max.
i think you can do such thing in max. the main feature that provide a good looking car materials is dependence of material attributes (in my case - reflectivity and transparency) from angle between normals of polygons and camera plane - fresnel effect (in Maya - facing ratio). Mental Ray and Maya can do this. so if Max can tell Mental ray about it you’ll get the same result as i did.

I never tought that metal ray could give too much posibilities
are therer some composting ? or it is a directly render withe metal ray (done withe composting softweras) .
