Okay, someone answer me this in dummy-talk. I’ve had some computer scientist look at this too and there isn’t enough documentation for them to make sense of it either. I’ve read the wonderful writ by Derby-Q Salano but I’m still a bit lost as to how it all applies as I haven’t studied physics in a few years.
So this is what I’m doing and please tell me what I’m doing wrong.
On the java applet:
Length= ? my character is 2 grids high and I’m set in meters therefore I enter:1 because I’m in meters? Or is this the units maya is set in, length of his robe, distance of scene area, or what? This part looses me and the CS guys.
Time= .03333 because I’m doing 30 f/sec
Mass= click on the syflex node syCloth1Trs>info and enter whatever number is returned (Syflex: total mass= 1259.69)
When it computes:
Gravity= 0.010897 This is coming out as a positive number. I assume I change this to a negative number so it falls down? -0.010897?
And is Self Envelope working on the same unit values (meters in my case) or something else?
If anyone can give insight I’m sure it will help many of us new users. thanks
