Do you need to draw to be a Pro Character Artist?

#1

For those out there that are trying to choose what they want to do for a career and trying to get better as a character artist it could get frustrating to figure out what a studio is looking for in a reel or portfolio.

So what are the steps to break through? Should have the ability to draw traditionally and be able to model really insane work?

Or do studios really just want you to have an amazing demo reel or portfolio of just your character art?
