I sometimes work with large halls or stores, with lots of lights and it always bugs me if I’m using the most accurate (or more efficient) way to light up these places.
I usually use a VraylightMaterial on the lighting surface itself and then a vraylight right below it. Of cource this way I sometimes end up with a lot of lights, which I’m not sure if it’s efficient enough in terms of rendering time. I usually use IES lights only in case of lights close to walls to achieve this nice surface projection.
I’m wondering though if it would make sense to use IES lights in the center of the room too.
