do i need a graphic card to run mudbox properly?

hi friends, i just installed mudbox in my pc but the problem is i just see a white screen in the 3dview , however when i tumble i can see the view port…but the moment i stop it turns white again :frowning: …and the uv view displays just fine …i am thinking it might be a problem coz’ of graphic card coz i dont have one in my system right now however i also have zbrush installed in my pc and that works perfect…please help :frowning:

jepp you need one… a powerfull one…
i recommend a min 512mb Vram for texture painting…

ZBrush and Sculptris were designed to work well on almost anything, their only real need is RAM. MudBox uses some real time lighting features that can only be done with higher end hardware.

yeah man onboard graphics ain’t gonna really cut it for mudbox i’m afraid :frowning: that being said i’m sure it will be fairly fast even with modest hardware in comparison to say maya or 3ds max. so maybe see if you can dig up an old geforce 9800 or something?
